remove all the a/c garbage. Ditch the stock clutch fan, and run electric fans. Remove your cruise control cable.

relocation of your battery to the trunk
fab a intake so the filter sits where the battery is now
remove your EGR system and all the associated vacuum hoses
remove your powersteering system and fab up a dummy pulley + bracket

could wire tuck whatever you can, but that's a lot of time lol, i plan to relocate those fuse box covers and stuff to the trunk later on, but not for sure cause i'm really lazy, you could polish up your engine that'lll make things look pretty good on the clean side imo, oh yeah lol..remove your emissions crap lol..

here's mine, in the works, still need lots of sanding

no1 has ne suggustions about all of the chaos that is called wiring in there lmao? come on guys im sure some1 knows some creative ways... BTW if it seems like everything is close to the rad support, its cause im too poor to have it pulled out, but basically used a crow bar to make everything line up as good as i could body wise...

huh? the wiring is fine. not like there's slack in the wiring harness. you can't really rearrange it. unless you feel like making your own custom harness.

Get back hoses instead of red ones
Secure the engine electrical box (driver side). tuck it under the filter
Remove the PAIRC system
Clean the upper front engine cover, secure the dist. lines to the respective factory tie wraps
remove the upper injector plastic cover. Use a black wire loom.

Wash the engine, use silicone in hoses.
Is dusty and not too neglected. A couple of hours scratching your knuckles will make the difference.

Good luck!

Use some zip ties to secure the box to the underside of the fender.
Also , you can use the airbox mounting ears to at least secure it there.
Do not put it sideways. Water will get inside and mess up your relays.

TUCK SOME WIRES----- relocate your engine fuzz box. extend some wires, relocate your radiator overflow tank ... or you you can wait to see mine to see how much cleaner it looks , and i'm doing it with a rb25.

Just paint your injen an inconspicious drab silver/grey color.

punxVA, whats up man? I'm in chesapeake too! Infact i saw you today at the Autozone. You have a mohawk and chukki fastback. Its funny b/c i just removed my emissions crap and vacuum lines today (actually yesterday). I have a relocated battery and a short ram intake where the battery is. I'm trying to cut out my battery tray tommarrow and actually fix the vacuum leak problem.
I could actually use this thread to fix a problem i had today. I'm gonna use a pic of your engine bay.

So i removed my AIV shit (seen in picture #2) and i think i have a leak now. My Car starts find, sound great and revs fine, but then upon decel 2 sec. later the car stalls. I hooked up 2 of the existed vacuum lines back into my new short ram intake (the vacuum coming from the valve cover,#1, and #3 whereever that is going).
There was a larger vacuum tube leading to a bung on my exhaust manifold (Im not sure if thats an o2 sensor or not. but there are also 2 other smaller hoses leading off the bottom of the AIV cluster. they lead across my engine bay to right underneath #3.
so if anyone can offer any help itd be much appreciated.

back to the topic of cleaning up the engine bay...
i removed my iav (or aiv) stuff yesterday. the car is stalling after about 30 sec. i put the iav stuff back on and it still does that. that means it shoudl definately be a leak... correct?

Just don't give a shit.

I'd rather have a/c and powersteering than being a show-stoppa...

actually no, i'm a dummy. but you see i have a valid reason for bring up an old thread. see my problem isnt from a year ago, yesterday i tried to remove some of my emissions crap and install this new intake i made. and foolishly i didnt do all of my homework. i dont get it i did this to my old 92 coupe and i didnt have a problem. can anyone help i drew a picture above...

damn

#2 looks weird and i don't think i have that on my car.
#1 is the crank case ventilation, you can cap that off on the intake and put a little breather filter on it. don't cap it off on the valve cover, obviously.
#3 i believe is the line that runs directly to the idle air control valve. hard to tell from the picture. that needs to be connected to the intake tubing.
#4 i have no idea.

dude why

as someone above mentioned, you won't be able to find a belt that fits properly. the power steering pump is also the accessory that serves as the tensioner for that belt. so you need to keep something there to make sure you can tension the belt properly.
