I'm about to pick up this turbo from a S15, I would first like to know if you guys can identify it as one. I know it's the same everything but I always thought there was a divider between the wastegate and the exhaust wheel on the exhaust side? Isn't there two versions of the S15 T28, one was made in '99 and the rest are 00+? Here are the pictures....let me know please, thanks!

AFAIK all S15 turbines have the divider wall.
It's possible that its a S14 T28.

The difference between S15 turbines is between Spec-R manuals and autos. The M/T turbines are more desirable.

uhhh :wtf: that's what I said...
that's s15 NON SPEC-R
s14 t28 says 1-1
s15 t28 says 1-2
Spec-R has the exhaust devider.

So what's the difference on the turbo between the spec-r and the autos?
Also what's the difference on the performance for the S14 and S15 T28?
Thanks!

the reason for the different part numbers is cuz the 00+ are non ballbearing. yes non ballbearing as discussed in FA and in a aussie forum.

Yep...and as I recall the bush bearing had 4 bolts holding the CHRA to the turbine housing and the roller bearing had 6 bolts.
