Now that I am entering my freshmen year of college I need a new lap top that will have more memory in order to support all of the new programs I will be using for my Mechanical Engineering classes. Thus brings me to the point of selling my beloved Apple iBook lap top which has supported me through 4 years of high school.
This lap top has never given me a single problem and has been constantly updated with all of the latest security and software updates for the computer.
The general specifications to this computer:
-500mHz processor
-128mB RAM
-10GB Hard Drive
-CD-RW Disk Drive
-12" monitor
-Weighs less than 5 pounds!
-Apple IceBurst Color
The computer came with Mac OS 9 and OSX 10 disk which was uploaded. I then recently updated the computer with the newest OS version 10.3 Panther. I plan to clear all my apps and files off the computer once sold, however, I have Microsoft Office OSX (a $500 program) downloaded on the computer and do not have the disks for the software anymore so I will leave that application on there.
Some other detailed specs that I had to look up to find information for...
-Bus: 66 MHz
-Level 2 cache: 256 KB on-chip cache
-Video: ATI Rage Mobility 128 with 2x AGP
-VRAM: 8 MB
-Display: 12.1" 24-bit SVGA (maximum of 1024x768)
-Video out: VGA and composite video
-Media drive: CD-ROM
-Ports: two USB, one FireWire, one 10/100Base-T ethernet and 56k modem
-Microphone: built in
-Size: 11.2 x 9.1 x 1.35"
If I can find the CD, I will also include a program named DiskWarrior which thoroughly cleans up the hard drive.
The printer: It's a Lexmark Z32 printer, it can print quality pictures, but takes a while to be truthful. I mainly used it for printing basic papers, cover sheets, and other documents.
I paid $1350 for the computer when I bought it, $100 for the printer, OSX 10.3 for $140, and retail value of MS Office is roughly $500.
Price: $975 obo
Once again, unlike pcs I have used, I have never needed to bring my computer somewhere to be fixed or have ever had problems with it. Even though it is a mac, and not a pc, this computer can work with all pc files except .exe.
