literally happened 5 minutes ago.
me and my friend were working on my s13 sr engine. we took out the plugs and we wanted to see if the injectors were spraying. so my friend drops a long piece of paper down hole where the spark plug goes and told me to crank to car. I crank the car and the engine eats up this 7" long strip of paper. I can see it still at the bottom of the cylinder but i can't get it out!
how do i get it out or do i even need to get it out. Can i just set it on fire or something
Please help!

Oh yeah, you NEED to get it out of there... If you can see it, try with all you can to get it out of there, if you cannot do so in this manner, you should promptly beat the SHIT out of your now former friend and get ready to remove the head, g'head and get a new head gasket and timing gear and all that goodness while you're at it.

why cant he just burn it away? Where could it possibly go from the cylinder head and what will it do ?

Get a can of WD40, spray it into a lighter, it is a liquid fuel (for this purpose) and will produce a physically smaller amount of ash...
Now burn a piece of paper, and I want you to notice that it will burn a LOT slower and will STILL leave an exponentially larger amount of waste (ash) when it is spent. This ash will potentially (more than likely) scar the walls of the cylinder.
... and what does he plan to burn this off with? He CERTAINLY doesn't think that running the engine will do it, does he?

hahahaha, thanks Phlip, you should've seen the look on my friends face when we were reading your response. He was like "uhhhhh, yea i'll be in the garage"
hahahaha so funny, but luckily he got it out. the piece of paper is still in tact but i can't be 100% sure that a small itty bit didn't come off. Does this still warrant taking off the head and making sure?
PHLIP thanks again for the help and making my friend poo his pants.

Have him stick his penis in and probe around for it...

How the hell do you drop a piece of paper into the SR plug location? Of all the places it could have dropped... LOL

use a vacuum with a small nozzle.
or since this thread is about torturing your friend, give him a straw and try to suck out what's left in there.

lol at this story
just rotate the motor via crank pulley till the whatever cylinder is at tdc, then get some long tweazers or seomthing and grab it. dont be such a girly man
suck it out with your left nostril
and if you cant suck hard enough
courtney love can (pick an interpretation for that...there are like 4)
