I'm looking for a new oil pump to replace my 119kmile pump. This is for my KA-T engine, so I would like to get something that flows more than stock. Any ideas? where to buy?
Also, where would be a good place to buy a new stock replacement pump?
thanks

new oem? idk most the time they last a long while before taking a break
I heard you can get a stock pump and shim it to run about 20 more psi which should be fine.

^^^^how do you "shim" the stock pump?
Is my stock 119k pump going to hold up and supply enough oil for a kat?

ive never heard of a oil pump not supplying enough oil on a ka-t, but im not 100% sure...
best bet is to look on ka-t.org

It should be fine. Mine actually gave out right when I did my ka-t. No oil what-so-ever. It's usually rare on KA's for the oil pump to go out, but not impossible. Not sure about aftermarket, but I was gonna go with all new parts or new whole front timing cover from nissan.

so do i jus buy a new oil pump from nissan or an entire front timing cover? What's needed? I dont want to put 3k in my new motor and then skimp on the oil pump.

The oil pump isn't sold separately; you have to buy the entire front cover.

You can buy the parts that make up the pump seperately, but I hear it's not fun taking it apart, nor do the pieces want to come apart. Much easier just to buy the front cover, it's about $240-250 from Nissan.

For the DE, you can buy an OE oil pump kit that comes with all new parts (gears, spring, valve) to rebuild the existing pump, costs about $40.
