there are hardly any imports where i live.   i was drivin through town today and i saw a blue si for sale.  i was bored, so i called the guy and he came over to where the car was parked.  anyway... i took it out for a bit by myself to see if these civics are all they're hyped up to be.  i HATED IT!  the engine sounded pretty cool, but was weak until about 7000. pulled great up till redline. it was SO FREAKIN bouncy, too.  i couldn't stand the interior, either.  anyway... i'm really happy i bought my green 95 240 se.  don't get me wrong, the civic was cool, looked GREAT!  but i just couldn't see myself in one.  i think a friend of mine is gonna try to buy it. anyone else have opinions???

i almost bought one. $20,000 brand new in 99. i'm glad i didn't though, i bought a SOHC 240sx for 10 times less and i've beat 1 Si tied with 1 and lost to 1. before most of my upgrades. they're OK cars, too expensive i think. maybe their value has dropped over the years and are more reasonable, but just like a 98 240SX, there's no way i'd pay $24k just to get high 15's in the quarter.

i'm not too sure what that previous post said........but anyway

i really like Si's. my friend has one with H&R's, 5Zigen, AEM cai, 17's on Parada's and Corbeau A4's. i drove it a few weeks ago, the thing hauls. i really would like to have one sometime.

I owned a 5th gen Si (hatch) and that car is so much better than the 6th gen!  (even my 99 Si friends agree)  Except for the motor and having a factor rear sway!

Seat's are too high and not supportive enough; too heavy; cheaper plastic and switch-gear; no more over-the-top sunroof; and they even skimped on the mirrors - no longer collapsable (which actually comes in handy where I live &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/butbut.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':but:'> &nbsp;). &nbsp;Actually, the seats were the worst - I can't fit in it w/ a helmet and it is uncomfortable as hell w/o one... it's like being in a lawn chair at 70 mph!

Still, my buddies is pretty formidable on an autox course - I/H/E; high-rate GC's and AGX's; CompTech rear sway; factory wheels w/ Azenises. &nbsp; But for the inch-ouces of torque, that would be a hot set up.
