Next Big Meet #5 @ Starbucks 8-18-05

Where?: Starbucks on El Camino and Lawrence in Santa Clara. 9pm to whenever.

As part of our "used to be" quarterly meets/gtg's we're trying to set up another one. It's been almost a year, so hopefully some new things have happened or changed to your vehicle :) We've been having these meets for the last 2.5-3 years and each time it gets bigger and draws all kinds of different cars/people.

There will be a mix of cars, so come and get your culture, or meet your competition. The last meet back a year ago brought out nearly 175-200+ mixes of cars from Subarus, Nissans, Toyotas, VW's, Audi's, BMW's

Please feel free to post on any other forums you'd like whether it be VW, Subaru, Toyota, Honda, etc.

As always, please bring maturity, and an adult like attitude to the meet. Don't be a dumbass like the guy in the Miata who was doing burnout's while leaving and hopped a curb. The cops around the area are super nice and won't give a damn unless someone starts to do silly things like burnouts or speeding in a parking lot. We've never had a problem with them in the last 2.5-3 years and we don't intending to.

Ok, I figured this would be the easiest place to meet up.

Across the street from oakrdige mall, the Good guys right there. (yes your work alex, there's lots of parking there) Meet at 8, roll out at 845.

Directions:
From 101 South:
Exit blossom hill
Right on blossom hill
Keep going straight until you see oakrdige mall on your right (westfield shopping center). Good Guys will be on your left, if you see a Home depot on your left, you passed it.

I'm sure they're not making comments on datsuns coming. I'm really sure that's not the problem. It's the fact that it's on craigslist, and all those APC hondas with Prime wheels that nobody wants to see will probobly roll up in full force. *shudders* Datsuns are nissans, why would we hate on datsuns :P

When people posted the Milpitas Q-Cup meet on craigslist, TOO MANY people showed up, causing the police to come out in force, telling everyone occupying the parking lot to leave, and they did. Leaving in a slurry of BOV hissing and uber loud exhaust notes. Changing the parking lot into a wasteland of empty Q-Cups, and oil puddles.

The reason that's all bad, is because dumb ass people come to meets wanting to show us HOW humongous their penises are by doing dumb ass shit, like burnouts when they're leaving, continuously REVVING their engine to show off some dumb ass fart can, etc.

Most of the regular populace doesn't have an appreciation for auto mobile tuners, and they get scared because they hear on the news some dumb ass street racers caused someone to die, because they were doing some dumb shit. So, they call the cops. Next time, DON'T post meets in craigslist, because I've seen ghetto trash using CL, I don't see alot of that using good forums like this one.

I don't know about you, but whenever I see idiots doing butt dynos in the parking lot, I'm not impressed. :jerkit:

QCups is always a bad place to go since its literally a couple blocks down the street from the Police Station, and that area just attracts alot of ricers anyway.

HOLY BALLS!!!111one there were like 200-230 cars!!! biggest meet I have ever been to!

Jesse, Me (along with my lady), Dippin, and a Twinturbo 350z met at my work around 8:45. rolled out around 9:10ish to go over to ZCarGarage to meet up with a GTR34 v-spec, a 70's Z with an RB25, and a few other 350z. I think I might have wet myself... I was in HEAVEN.

We then all rolled into the parking lot and the R34 proceeded to draw the ENTIRE crowd with it. haha, like moths to a fucking flame. There were so many cars I could barely think of where to start. There was a pretty good Nissan turnout comprising of Zcars, 240's and the skyline of cource. LOTS of rx-7's (fc and fd) LOTS of honduhs... :ughd:
Although I must admit, some of there were clean as FUCK. plenty of AE86's, Audi's, VW's, domestics, some street bikes, a handfull of DSM's and VR-4's, an old school mini, some 510's and my friend Vince's LWT BMW M3. I'm sorry to say that if you missed this one... you missed out.

All in all, good times were had. It was a pretty mature atmosphere for the most part. minimal police interference, no bullshit. I give it an A+. It could have been a bit more organized as far as parking goes... but it was kinda cool to see all the cars mixed up.
