I just picked up a 91 S13 with KA24DE, i cannot go smog due to the CEL is on, so i tried to diagnoses what's wrong.

the ecu pulled three code. as soon as i erase it, it came back on

13- engine coolant temperature sensor circuit
33 - oxygen sensor circuit
45 - injector leak

please tell me how to fix those problem (i think for #33 just replace a new O2 sensor should be fine?)

thanks

Bad coolant sensor would trip the ECU into open loop, thus running excessively rich. That's probably the reason the O2 code is throwing also. Replace the CTS first, see if it clears both codes.
Injector leak is just that, check the o-rings for dry rot or tears.

for the sensors, it could be the sensor itself, or the wiring going to the sensor. you need to use a multimeter to check. the FSM has the procedure to check the sensors.

when i wiggle the CTS wire, the RPM goes up and down, so i figure the wiring is degrading. but how can i fix this problem since it is connect to the main engine harness. I know this a common problem on KA24e but i didnt know it happens to ka24de too.

figure out exactly where it is loose and resolder it or solder in a new piece of wire.

thans for reply, but how do i find out?

i mean i inspected all the wires, they all seens ok, no apparent wear. but if i wiggle around, the rpm just swim up and down. does dealer sell the plug with portion of wire only? or should i buy a whole new set wire harness to fix this problem?

wiriing is wiring

you go to the hardware store and buy a spool of the same gauge wire.

actually after 20 minutes of driving, the CEL go away. the car response better but still runs a bit rich. but alot of better....since it was shooting out fuel (or lot liquid) from the exhaust. now it just a little bit smell.
