nah it just means S13 Silvia front ends are way played and don't look that good on a Fastback. :D If you own a S13 Fastback its either the kouki 180 front or the S15 front IMHO. I am sure there is going to be someone to argue this.

i'll argue with you. car fashion trends are dumb.

that animation is still hillarious though.

I agree with freaq that s13 silvia front ends dont look good on hatchbacks, but I also think that pop ups look hideous on a coupe body. Coupes look much more appealing and well designed with a s13 front end. But its all a matter of taste and personal preference.

It has nothing to do with fashion trends. It has to do with what a person likes and how it looks.
Some people don't do things because its a trend some people do it because they like it.
I personally don't like S13 Silvia faces on Fastbacks. Are they way played ? Yes . Is that a reason, not to go that way? Possibly, in my opinion. Unless it looks good, why go there?
Now, if someone does it, because they like it, does that mean they are following a trend, or doing what they want to do?
Are you just assuming, because someone does something, they must be a trendy or following a trend? Thats pretty narrow and close minded.

I agree with you nocturnal as well. Coupes were meant to have the Silvia front. The 180 front was tossed on the coupe for the U.S. because of DOT and federal crash safety standards. It was already tested and approved. It would have cost Nissan a lot more extra cash to get the Silvia front approved. Plus,I think they from a marketing perspective, they did not want to introduce a whole new model of car . Which is what the coupe would have been with the proper front end on it i.e. Silvia!!

But worse than that are the people who won't do something or listen to some group or what have you because it's too popular or "played out". Some people do things because it appeals to them with little concern for what other think... than you have the poor souls that are always trying to impress others, in this case other car dorks.

i dont know what im assuming.

i just think a person should put whatever they want on their car because they like it, without worrying about trends or what others think.

Good point....but they shouldn't have brought the coupe over here to being with. Should have been just like Europe and only get the fastback.

Yea, Honda copied the Silvia look so well on that Integra it's not even funny. Whenever I'm coming up on those Integras from behind, I always wonder if it could be a 240.

I wonder if the owners were at that Applebees.

nope, we were at the mcdonalds when i took the picture, found a sony cybershot at work (yay free camera) and decided to take a picture of my car and I2aine's car. i've had like over 7 people come up to me randomly saying "oh thats a nice jdm integra", i guess how they can mistake it for a dc2 even though it says "silvia" on the center piece.
