How hard were you driving?
How much boost are you running?
What turbo are you running?

I think that the the turbo going bad could cause more friction possibly heating the air more. But the oil being in the hot pipe would possibly absorb some of the heat and keep the hotpipe hotter longer. Get a new turbo, upgrade time!

I do a lot of stop and go driving. I have a blitz FMIC, i run 14psi on the stock t25 but thats rare. Someone on another forum told me that my bad shaft seals are causing the increasing intake temps causing drag on the turbo and pumping loss

The Effect Of The Turbo Pressurizing The Air Will Create Heat. The More Pressure Your Create The Hotter It Gets, Also If You Run A Turbo Beyond Its Effeciency It Becomes A Heat Pump That Just Genreates Heat And Hurts Performance.

The Oil Residue In Your Intake Tract Is A Function Of Blowby (Needless To Say But Every Engine Has Some Blowby) And Crankcase Ventilation (The Tube From The Valve Cover To The Intake Tube). IF YOUR VALVE COVER TUBE IS DISCONNECTED THEN IT COULD BE SEALS.

^ I have a aluminum intake without the Blowby, It has to be the seals because i have a lot of oil in the compressor, so i guess my basic question can the bad seals cause a large increase in temperature in my piping

Are you talking about oil seals?? If you are then no they cant. My hot pipe gets warm as hell also but thats normal, you have a huge heat source right beside, below it. Of course its going to get hot. Blown oil seals will cause smoke to blow out the exhaust. A turbo is allowed to have a certain amount of oil buildup in the inlet. It all depends how much blow by you are getting. Since you have no tube running into the intake your seal could be letting some oil past but personally until I see a smoke screen out the back then I wouldnt be changing the turbo.

If you are pushing 14psi on a T25 then Id say thats where your sluggish performance is coming from, after everything warms up your air is so warm that it is too warm to be cooled properly.

Lower your boost and see how it runs. What type of injectors are you running? Fuel control?

running stock injectors with 255 fuel pump, fuel pressure is good. I am running 14psi, however this happends when im driving around town not even boosting. I keep my boost under control. After 30 min of normal driving it feels like my car makes no boost. I have no smoke coming out of the exuast.

There are a lot of guys pushing 14psi, I have not heard of anyone getting sluggish performance like me

I Run 15 Psi Occasionally But After Awhile Of Heat Buildup You Can Notice A Perfoirmance Difference.

Is Your Turbo Making Noise? If Its Creating Frictonal Heat From Damaged Seals Or Bearings You Will Audibly Notice It.

I do not hear any turbo noise, but i did notice today that i have a oil leak right at the turbo coming from the stainless steel hose
