im stumped

ok guys, ive got one for you KA24E guys. ok, lets just start with the symptoms. it had a blown head gasket, i replaced that and the intake mani collector gasket, head bolts(torqued to spec),thermostat, plugs, oil, and coolant. right now the EGR isnt connected, theres no coolant in it, and the termostat isnt in it. There is no smoke, it has a compression PSI of 120 exactly across all 4 cylinders, the spark plugs are black with oil, and it smells like an insane amount of gas. were all stumped to know what it is. any input would be great.

did you look inside the cylinders when you pulled the sparkies?

smells like gasoline... hmm.

spark plugs black with oil. hmm.

someone on FA told me that if you have a stuck/leaky injector, it can flood a cylinder and wash down the cylinder walls, mix with oil, thin the oil out and finally let oil into the combustion chamber.

so shine a flashlight in there and see if you find a giant pool of gasoline.

well, that sounds like it may be a problem, but it doesnt explain why ive got such a low compression. ive got the exact same PSI number across all 4.

maybe you get low comp b/c the thinned out oil + gas mixture is getting past your o-rings.
