i got a new project this weekend for a great price. clean 89 rx7 turbo II. 71k miles. got a lot to do to make it normal again, but it will be tits on a ritz.

to do list:
throw mustang wheels off cliff
put on elect fan(no shroud)
strip smog pump
little interior pieces
auto seatbelts dont work, prob just door pin switch
put in a super tizzite jdm-izzle cs-x3 air freshener......squash....mmmmmmm
and a little paint fixes, clear is comming off small portion of roof.

ill look into that whole ls1 thing, ive heard its power to weight is insane if you do a little diet plan to the interior. but coilovers, defianetly, this thing is like a monster truck. i bought the car not running, so we are in the process of getting it started, i think i have it narrowed down the the trailing ignitor, or a coil. my roomate posted about it here

That is a very clean car....I do agree with you on getting rid of the wheels. Some mesh and coilovers would be hot; well on top of getting the car running that is haha :) good luck, and good find!

anyways, the car should still start even with no spark to the trailing plugs. i'm assuming you tested spark, yea?
from the description on clubfc3s i woulda said it's flooded, but you said it's not. i'm guessing you held the gas pedal down while cranking, for about 20 seconds, to find that out, yea?

we need to do a better spark test but from the "hold the terminal to the shock tower test" it didnt pass. we went through the whole clear a flooded engine procedure on clubfc3 so yeah, we pumped the gas when we cleared the housings without plugs, but not much wet fuel came out. i would think i would get my hand wet with gas holding it over the holes, but not much at all. the tach doesnt work either, and the check engine light does not come on to check codes. i am leaning towards the ecu. i heard something about the cold solders but i need to research more. thanks for you help

^^^oh, i know a simple solution to the problem. send 40 stickers to [email protected] , and as far as the motor is concerned just drop an ls1 in and forget about the ticking time bomb aka 13b :werd: :werd: :werd: :werd:
