It looks like an exhibition........ The bay area is pretty much hatin.....
To much insurance issues involved, join the SCCA if you want to be part of exhibitions, and events..... No insurance involved, just a waiver........
At the bottom of the page you can register your car, more than likely it is already booked up...

Yeah for the amount on the cash prize, and participants it's not that worth it.....
I'm just going to go and watch.......
People can look at my car for free in the parking lot....
The only advantage I see in the event is gaining a sponsorship or 2....

I just moved to Orinda from Oakland, I moved in with my girlfriend........
Yeah knowing that it is going to be a phat event I would highly doubt winning any cash prize....
So all I would want to enter for is a sponsorship, there are companies looking at the competitors after all.........
Question izzzz, who the hell are you???
Would you be down to smob????????
My name is Vince, just another nobody that has a couple quasi sponsorships, that are weak anyways........ I also get to use the shop at the Valero gas station in Rheem to slam my parts on............ Since you wanted to know.....

Yeah this looks kinda cool. I am not finding much info on what the expectations are of the competitors are. Anyone have more info that I am not finding on the web sties? I think it would be fun, even though I will get knocked out in the first round.

Seems like they should really post more info, like the schedule of the day, how the comp will be running etc. I know I passed on the last driftshowoff down here in LA cuz I knew the amount of track time that we'd get would suck and there was a JD event around the same time that I'd rather do. I also read that the pavement at this spot is rough? Is that true? Kind of a double wammy with that one. The deciding factor last time for me to do driftshowoff was whether I had a fighting chance at winning because if you aren't going to place well, you're better off competing at a smaller amateur comp where you can get more seat time. I'm curious to know who's judging this event as well.

Post more info when you find out about it because I might consider making the trip to norcal to do this if it looks like it will be a good event.

GG Fields has really rough pavement. It was insane how fast I went through tires there.

I use to do the illegal activities there back in high school, donuts and figure 8's.... I'm pretty shure that GG has recently re paved the asphalt, has new ss1 oil and asphalt layed down..........

WTF are you talking about? SS1 oil? GGF did not look like new pavement when I was there in June. Newer pavement than when you where in high school? What a strange thing to post......

If you have ever layed asphalt ss1 is an oil used to lay down new pavement on top of old pavement........ Works like a glue.......
Last I was there was 2 years ago and there use too be pot holes every where....
