I recently purchashed the "Boost Designs" shop car. I was told the car was running and that..as PJ would put it..needed "tweaked"..LMAO..thats hellarious...not only did the car not run..the battery was dead and when i put a batt. in it to pull it from the road to my garage after unloading it from the delivery ppl...the thing tried to fire and porceeds to dump a toilet bowl of fule all over my driveway...after pushing the car to the garage and popping the super cheasy cf hood...there sit a dremel tool fuel rial thats on a 20 degree angle from the injectors...hmmm..wander why its leaking. I called him and he says..no problem..just straighten it up and it will be fine...so..i get it uprighted..get some spacers made for it so it will actually stay there...turn the key...LMAO...the car tries to fire again..stumbles into a half-*** idle then dies...and now i get to clean up the quart of oil off my floor from the leaking turbo lines...to make a long story short...i bought a "running car that needs tweaked" and got a rolling pile of crap..and..i just found out the car has a salvaged title which i was never told....this guys stories never end...what goes aroiund comes around though...

HAHAHAAHAAA!!! The test car was supposly the only car that ran right and/or the parts fit. Classic to see the stuff didn't even work on it.
This is retarded. stop dealing with this guy. And someone please beat the greed out of him.

All states have lemon laws. Although they may not cover modified vehicles, "caveat emptor" can only go so far. There are laws stating that advertising needs to have some truths.
What I'm saying:
Call a lawyer. People don't do this near enough. You bought a car based on full-on lies. If the mechanical issues can't get you anything---
You have a 100% case on the salvage title!
A person cannot knowingly sell a car with a salvage title, and not inform the buyer. Some states won't even let you register a salvage car, so this is a major issue, and you'll win easily.
People need to stop saying they're going to get friends and fly to a city and beat people up. Or threaten with lawyers. If you get fucked, call a lawyer. It's nearly always a free consultation, and can get you un-fucked. PJ needs to go down.. you have one of the best cases out there. Do something about it.

Just be glad it has a salvage title, or you probably wouldn't have much of a case.

I think the funniest thing about this thread is that the original poster bought a car without test driving it or asking about the title.

:werd: seriously, I mean I feel sorry for the guy, but if he's actually for real, this was quite possibly the dumbest purchase ever...he knows the company is shady, yet he pays for the car without testing it at all or looking at the title...when the guy gave him the title he could've given it back right then.

the car was on ebay and was advertised as a clear title. I am in the process now of getting a copy of the auction from ebay. In my line of work I do not have the free time to go and test drive things out of state...besides..what happen to being honest and a man word being his bond????

Alot oif you on here are slamming me for not tets driving the car..I work 6 days a week , a minimum of a 12 hour day...I do not have time to drive to these places and test these cars out...Pj assured over several phone conversations and emails that the car ran fine but would need tweaked once the motor was broken in...not the case. I havent been on the forums forever and did not know all this stuff with BD was going down...so..if you think I am dumb or whatever..put yourself in my shoes for a minute...you would feel the same way...there are too many ppl out there scamming others and it has to end....

Ok well that makes sense. But yeah if he sold you the car and didn't indicate it was salvaged he's pretty much screwed.
If you were in NJ you could file under the "Lemon Law" and sue him on top of that.

so how did you actually recieve the vehicle? when did you recieve the title?
See the problem I see with this is, even if you didn't test drive the vehicle, at one point in time he had to transfer the title to you...only a very A. trusting or B. gullible person would purchase a vehicle and then await the title. My argument is that the second you saw the title was not clear you should have refused the purchase, or at least looked deeper.
As I said before, I feel sorry for you and hope you at least get your money back, but this falls under the category buyer beware. He may have falsely advertised on ebay, but that doesn't tell me that you're free and clear from being at fault.

This issue is now in the hands of my lawyer. I havent recieved a title on the car yet..and to answer your question..A..very trusting...i like to take a man for his word...if a mans word is no good he is no good. I even have emails stating he would test drive it for a week to have it running and work all the bugs out. It is fruad plain and simple..he got away with it from everyone else but not me. His days of misleading ppl are over..period.

NEVER BUY cars on ebay!!!!!!!!!!
Whatever happened to going out and looking at the car in person? The only time I would bid on a ebay car is if the owner lived within 30miles of me so I could see the car during auction.......
Now ebay sellers can delete there negative feedback for $20, so really why would I want a car from EBAY.........
You should of printed out all pics before buying the car, you should of also asked for the VIN since it was a car for sale...... Should of done a carfax report which EBAY offers now........
You just showed everyone what not to do......
Yeah so what if you work six days out of the week, there are a total of 7......
Just sayz you were lazy and waisted your hard earned money.......
Are you serious, buying from PJ, I thought his business went down a couple months ago??????????????
Besides there is no case if you didn't research the car first. It doesn't matter what his lies are you are responsible, when it comes to the exchange of money....
But what you can do is ruin his rep and start a class action lawsuit with all the people that have bought crap from him......

Actually you're wrong. Its illegal to sell a car with a salvaged title without notify the buyer.
Whether he went to look at the car or not makes NO difference, he was still sold a car with a salvaged title.
But, why the hell did you buy a car without the title! :wtf:

Not in California.......
The Lemon Law only applies to car dealers, not private sales.........
If PJ has a dealers lisence then you have a case.......
I was an idiot that bought a lemon a few years back, my stepmom is the laywer that represents me, for my idiot problems.........
If the buyer doesn't have the title, the agreement isn't set, the signature isn't on the title..........
Neither is the signature on the title, or duplicate copy of transfer........

I have yet to recieve the title as of today still. I have never had to wait this long for a title. Normally when you go and pay off the loan your handed the title..at least at my bank you are. I really dont care as of right now though. BD will be brought to justice. I bought a clean car and got a salvaged car..end of story. You have to notify the buyer of a lease or slavaged vehicle before selling it..let alone listing it on Ebay as a clear titled car. BD is going to go down! :rl:

If you want that piece of shit PJ to go down, you should file criminal charges through the local police department.... You should also file with the FBI, knowing that this is not the first time he has broken interstate laws.
Selling crap on Ebay, is a federal offense.....Do you still have the EBAY link to the car you bought? Can we see it?

This thread is so retarded. If you two morons (PJ and the Buyer) have not put your signatures on the title of the car, then the car technically is not sold. You just let PJ borrow your money for an indefinite amount of time. Secondly, I must say the you are quite the dumbass for buying the car. If its salvage, then it was probably crashed, bought of an insurance auction and then modified by PJ. All the mechanical things that are wrong with the car have nothing to do with the salvage title. The crap thats wrong with it is due mainly to the "boost designs" goodies under the hood.
P.S. I would once again like to remind you that you are a moron. Please ask for assistance in any endeaveors you decide to undertake from now one, your not capable of thinking on your own.

Salvage titles have to be known before selling the car in California. You have the right to get your money back from him, march your ass over to him and return the junk.

Sorry I have to apologize, my post did come off as being rather negative.
Just understand that there are people making a living from ripping others off. It's happened to all of us at some point, sometimes on big purchases and sometimes on small ones.
The best thing you can do is learn from your mistakes. Don't think of it as purchasing a bad car, think of it as purchasing a very important lesson.
I have been ripped off in the past, and today I am much more jaded and skeptical. This is namely the reason I get angry at people who jump into pitfalls.
I guess we all have to live and learn.
My word of advice (so as to make myself productive on this thread): Don't trust anyone. If they are human, then they are flawed. BE AWARE OF ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING.
