hey guys

just wanted to introduce myself on this forum. i just sold my integra and got a 1996 240sx, but i'm not new to motorsports. i've been driving with NASA-MA for about 5 years now, and just recently got my instructor certification. i also have an STi daily driver and hope to get my 240 ready for track duty before summit point in sept. i dont know sh*t about 240s yet so please bear with my n00bness. anyhow, feel free to haze me and i look forward to chattin with some of you

I will begin the hazing by informing you that this thread has nothing to do with "motorsports" and therefore is in the wrong forum. I will help you by instructing you to search before asking, as asking a question that has been covered time and time again is SURE to have one flamed around these parts. I will leave you with a welcome to Zilvia

well, i put it in motorsports because i imagine this is the only forum i will be reading with any regularity. i dont care much for bling, but i'll take an autox or track day any day of the week. and hey, maybe i'll try a drift event or two... :coolugh:

i didnt have a question, just introducing myself here, thats all. there doesnt seem to be much other activity going on in this forum. i figured it'd be nice to know a fellow track day junkie on the forum and not a boulevard pimpin ricer which i'm sure there are just too many of.

Brian, welcome to the board. I've had my 240sx for a couple of years now. I mostly autocross it, but I have done HPDEs at VIR-Full & VIR-South courses before. Don't know what you have planned for the car, but I think you'll enjoy it. It's got a great chassis and can be setup to handle fairly well.

at first you sounded like a ricer. but then you say ur an instructor? so im guessing you're a lil older than the typical integra racer kid eh? welcome, i guess, and dont be hurt when you get clowned on.

yeah, i live in charlottesville and the drivers around here are idiots. my STi still isnt right from when that jackass rearended me. i've taken it back to the body shop atleast 5 times to try and straighten it out, but as soon as they realign something, something else gets messed up so its kinda pissed me off.

i'm not sure how old you (caoboy) think i am, but i'm not that old. i've just been doing track days for quite some time and have made my way up the ranks. i just had to get away from the fwd integra and try out rwd. although its very preliminary, i would like to pick up a miata and prep it for scca spec miata, or perhaps an E30 bmw and try nasa's spec e30 challenge. but for now, its the S14 and i hope to see you all at summit point or VIR which I hit up quite frequently

Good luck finding an obundance of good drivers around there and Richmond....They just don't pay any f*cking attention or care if they hit someone.
