well my friend was talking to me today and he said he was looking into buying and r33. i told him about motorex but since ive never considered buying any skyline i dont know that much. so i wanted to ask the all knowing crowd ok is motrorex the only skyline importer in the us? do they have offices anywhere other than cali? about how much is a TT 5spd R33 and about how many miles do they come with? do they sell aftermarket parts and does anyone else import aftermarket parts? wtf happens when the damn thing breaks down ? where can i get prices on aftermarket parts for skylines (im guessing they charge you an arm and a leg for a exhaust kit)? will nissan dealers service a skyline (dumb question)? is there any kind of warrantly that motorex provides...for now that should be all but i might be back with more thanks in advance for your help

Yes motorex is the only Legal Importer at this time. We sold one here in Minnesota, for we are an authorized WD Cwest Midwest Dealer (Motorex is the importer for CWest).
Parts and aftermarket parts are no problem, it's just coming up with the $$ for the GTR itself

I think there is a "MOTOREX" forum over at FA too. where they have staff answer questions, etc.

would you be able to tell me what city/area the skyline went to? i really think i saw a skyline cruising around in brooklyn center one day.
i've never heard of autoimaging before. i'll be cruising down there sometime this week.

sykikchimp is completely right. On FA lots of the employees at motorex post and there are quite a few people that have bought the cars from them on the FA forums as well.

MotoRex are good people. They actually (contrary to what some people think) have some very affordable Skylines. You can get a R32GTS25 for around 22k or a R32GTR for about 35K anyways they actually have several very clean R33's in stock right now. seen them in person I personally would prefer a R32 myself. Oh yeah the R34 GTR's are now priced at 95k thats down from what it used to be for all those people out there calling them a rip off. whatever

ya , but its no ordinary 10 year old car Ace and I see people around here paying 22k for ten year Porsche's all the time.
You may think its somewhat ludicrous, but by the same token I think anyone who dumps 20K into a S14 (and I have seen that done around here too),is crazy. You could have a R32GTS25 for the same amount of money and its going to eat the S14 for lunch. so go figure.
I mean my S13 when all is said and done with Turbo will have a total of maybe 7k in the car including purchase.
I think me and you are on the same page as far as how much we want to invest in our cars Ace. Yet there are a lot of guys out there that just dump the cash in.

yea i know... thus the "LoL". even then... $20k into an S14 should wreck a stock R32.
Really though, if I had an extra 20-30 grand lying around, you'd be seeing me in an R32 without a doubt.

ok i checked the website and gave him some info. hes looking into an r34GTR (has to be a gtr) they only got vspecs at the time though and he doesnt wanna pay extra for some weight loss. can they order a specific one for you. btw the reason i havent gone to fa is cause im not a member...too damn lazy. 95K is kinda steep for him though (hes only 16...50 wouldnt have been that bad but not 95K). do they ship the car to you? and will nissan dealerships service the car?

anyone seen the motorex black bird? top speed of 198, and costs less than one of the top of the line porsches.
Of the 3 I'd go with the r33...based only on looks.

I think you might be talking about Big Bird. The car that was in F&F and was repainted yellow afterwards and now is the MotoRex official drag car . Its pushing some mad HP. You may see at the strips tearing things up.
oh yeah you can select a particular if you want to wait for them to procur it in Japan and bring it across, but then you have to wait for it to go through the whole legalization process . The cars that are on the site are the ones that are ready for stateside sales.
Does he have to have a R34 GTR? He could get a R33 GTR or even a R32 GTR which is actually more proferred being that its lighter than the R34 which is a pig (its right up there with the Supra TT in weight).
Anyways as far as Nissan dealers servicing it goes I think he would be out of luck there . He is more likely to find a high end Independant Garage that would be into servicing it in a dealership fashion. Someplace that deals with High Performance Imports and we are not talking about souped up Honda's. I.E. TT Supra's , RX7 FCS3's , NSX's , Porsches,BMW's etc....
I am sure MotoRex could help him with that too. They are pretty good about that stuff .
Also his car could most likely be delivered, I am sure for a fee.
I would think he would rather fly out here to LA and pick it in person and drive it home. I know I would if I was purchasing one and I lived somewhere else in the country.

the blackbird i'm thinking of was featured in one of the car magazines. it's an upgraded skyline from motorex with upgraded HKS turbos. i remember it being called the blackbird because they said they named it after a fast jet plane from the 60's called the blackbird. damn i wish i could find that article!
i did a quick search on the web. it uses apex'i turbos

Just for the record The R32GTS25 is a NA Skyline. It is not fast. Even with upgrades it is not fast. I am not saying it can't beat a S-14 (I know it can't beat mine). Anyways the R32GTS25 Sells ANYWHERE!!!! in Japan For less than $4000 and as cheap as $1200 You can get a GTS-T for Less than $4000 and that has a single turbo and more than likely comes with upgrades. So I am saying 22K is very high for basically nothing.. But that is just MHO!!!!

Shit, if I had that kind of cash, I'd get myself a WRX or a new Lancer Evolution VII when it comes out here in the states and call it a day. Then I'd use the rest of the money for investments and make more money!
