Ok, so this is whats going on. I just bought a car, 3 weeks ago. But i was too lazy to go to the DMV and transfer the title over. Does anyone know whats going to happen when I go to transfer the title?
(Any Change of registered owner or lienholder must be recorded with the DMV within 10 days)

Yes I know, this is my own fault because of my procrastination.

Just go do it, you shouldnt have any problems. Most likely the past owner already mailed the release of liability. And bring the smog certificate.

You may have to pay a late fee, but otherwise should be fine.

Make sure to bring a "Bill of Sale" form completely filled out. They give you hella shit if you try to transfer without it especially if it's 3 days after the date on the pink slip

I bought my s13 almost a year ago, and haven't registered it. I wonder what's gonna happen. :bash:

thats only if you live in area's with slow DMV's around here in Los Angeles all they want is a signed pink slip. They consider the cars to be old enough that a bill of sale does not matter. A signed pink slip and a purchased value on the back side and your good to go. Trust me on this I have lots of experience.

dmv's are really busy around here, but they still hassle. You've got it good.
