Do you owners of the S14 base models running on stock 15's w/o a LSD notice the back end wanting to swing out alot on turns when you don't want it to?  The front end plows, but then the rear end on normal driving especially in the rain just wants to be free. I hope the rear sway bar evens things out and hopefully a VLSD and/or bigger rim/tire combo helps too.

I have noticed alot of things with no sway, no lsd. &nbsp;One is that sometimes I can get the thing to spin the left tire for a long time...another is if I want the rear to kick out, i just get wheelspin from the right tire....yet another, if i want wheelspin, i get a spin (whole car <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':crazy:'> ) &nbsp;And as PJ found out, with no sway bar there is a lot of body roll (holy 1960's chevy sedan, Batman! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> )

the sway actually isn't that bad.... it's the understeer that i'm not liking. &nbsp;i'd rather have the car more neutrally balanced. &nbsp;time for Sustec swaybars i guess.....

Well.. I picked up the OEM rear sway bar from member DSC (thanx again), as soon as the brackets get in, I'll pop it on and should feel a huge difference in making the steering more neutral than under.

I don't feel the back end wanting to swing out except in the rain. The car understeers a lot more than oversteer. Before I had the LSD, I would get wheelspin on the inside wheel when gassing in turns. Sometimes the car oversteered a little at the end of the turn, but I think that was because of the open differential. Now with LSD, the car only understeers (which also sucks). I went driving in mountain roads and I felt that when I gassed too hard in turns, the car would refuse to turn. At least now it doesn't understeer and then suddenly oversteer like before. I can't get it to oversteer unless I do it purposely (like revving up and dumping the clutch in the middle of the turn). I also need a rear anti-sway bar to balance things out. In fact I'm wondering if I should get a set of anti-sway bars before getting shocks and springs. Any suggestions?

I get the same feeling i have a 97 base model it sucks i feel it more innthe rain or when the tire sins and then it kicks out and the car jerks &nbsp;hard to one side.

Which LSD do you have in there?... I honestly believe that suspension should be the first mod(s) done to the car. The better balanced it is, the more aggressive the car can be driven. &nbsp;I just got my OEM rear sway bar brackets and bushings (Bracket- 56233-01P10) (Bushing- 54613-71L10). The brackets were $2.87 each and the bushings were $8.39 each fromPinnacle Nissan (http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=49&catalogid=0).

It's a J30 vLSD. I don't know what year. The one that fits...haha. Suspensions will be the next thing I upgrade. I'm thinking of getting shocks and springs before anti-sway bars. I got a few months to decide since I don't have the money right now anyway.

Oh, in case it sounded like I was saying that the LSD caused the understeers, no that wasn't what I meant. The car has always understeered, but it used to also oversteer at the end of fast turns. I believe the LSD fixed the oversteering problem. I heard that open differentials cause oversteers when power is suddenly transferred from the inside wheel (which had been spinning during the turn) to both wheels, causing the outside wheel to lose traction. Something like that. Correct me if I'm just BSing. Anyway, I think that's what was happening to me before having the LSD.

I know that this question has been asked a million times, but did you just swap the pumpkin or did you need to replace the half shafts too.?
