Need Help Coolant Leak!!!

its on a KA24DE.

god damnit, now my coolant is leaking, i can see it dripping right where teh transmission meets the block. I've ran dye through it and i cant tell where its coming from because of too much god damn grease on the engine.

i could only think of 2 lines that are around that area..probably the 2 rubber hoses that come from the intake mani/block to through the firewall of the chassis

Yeah....I wanted to say that I had a similar leak just days ago. Like said before there are two (2) radiator hoses that connect to your firewall that lead to your heater core....that is, in fact, how your heater core obtains heat. At any rate, first check to see if the hoses are rotten, or have any cracks or any type of wear.

Then also check to make sure these hoses are clamped TIGHTLY onto the connectors on the firewall. As that coolant heats up, the hose will expand and if they are not tightened down securely, the coolant could leak. This fixed my problem...........let us know how it goes!

alright well i got my car put up on a lift, and the guy is a total redneck lol so he says that it seems to be coming from somewhere near the starter, maybe from a freeze plug. On the passanger side of the car, so where the intake manifold is located, so maybe it is those hoses, could some1 maybe take a pic for me of them, that'd be perfect. Im not even sure if 240's have freeze plugs, i couldnt find shit on them in the FSM, or in Chatelins ,whatever it is called, so could some1 help me verify this too.

Well i think its your water pump im almost 100% sure. It starts leaking once it goes bad through the weeping hole whatever its called it usally leaks randomly and starts pouring once its almost gone. Here i'll help you out.

Thats how the cooling system goes. If its by the starter which means more to the passenger side then it could be either the hose or the thermostat housing but like i said im about 90% sure its your water pump.

i remember i had a leak that was comin from my intake mani, what a bitch lol..right after i dropped in my motor i got a leak, lol take the intake mani's a pita, i know especially for s13's since you're gonna have to unbolt the alternator or part of it at least to take off a bracket holding the lower intake mani, blha blah yeah that sucks
