Thanks guys I should have been more specific in my title, but can you guys list your wheel specs to, im looking to get 18x9.5+35(Rear) im just wondering what will fit on a S13 coupe with stock body and not stick out past the fenders but come fluch to them at ZERO camber.

do you have a kit? cuz those look WAY too big without a kit... id stick with some 16's or 17's if you body is stock

CHARLIE2020

i have stock body and 17x9.5 +4 (back - pulled and rolled) and 17x9 + 10 (front rolled and pulled)
and i think it looks niiiice, looks very mean and wide.

u can fit any size wheels, u need to adjust camber though to fit if it doesnt.
+35 is weak but it should clear, maybe with -2 camber if needed i cnat see it being any more than that

why do you want 0 camber? dont half-ass it, get lower offsets and camber them in slammed on coilovers.

KiDyNomiTe
08-03-2005, 08:56 PM
Ya 0 camber is stupid for all purposes. Get at least 1ish.

CHARLIE2020
08-03-2005, 09:01 PM
I am not going to run ZERO camber I just want a wheel that'll fit at ZERO camber as a guide, dont want a wheel that i'll have to run 2 degrees or more camber to fit.

here's my daily driver with crappy FWD offset wheels (I got them for $100 bucks, I spend the real money on my project car...)
http://www.turbotweek.com//images/240G/240G2.jpg

I think "lip" style 18 inch wheels look better on an S13 than full cast 18 inch wheels like OEM 350Z wheels, I might get some spacers for mone later..

m0rex
08-04-2005, 12:27 AM
Get some spacers and lower that s13 and it will look good. I agree deep dish that are 18 inch look way better than regular full cast wheels like the work emotions, skyline wheels, 350z wheels and you get the point.

skyline wheels are forged not cast

i bet my 18s weigh less than all of your 17s combinded

18" with weak ass offest and only 7.5 wide. but it will work until i get the jdm rear end and 300zx brakes.

weak! 18x9.5+12!

do it! IIRC doriftoslut (PG) has work emotion 18x9.5+12 in the rear on his coupe.

aren't lindsay's rear fenders pulled/rolled a good bit too though?
18's look hot as hell if it's the right wheel/fitment.
18's under stock fenders w/o any bodywork just doesn't look good imo.

define a "good bit"

i dont think they are extreme at all

fitting big wheels in stock fenders is where its at. get over fenders when you realize that you pulled it too much and its caving in :)

i think lindsay has overfenders but hasnt put them on yet

Anything that extends past 60mm from the rotor/rim mounting pad is gonna require negative camber.

I once mounted Kicks Project Wheel Spacers (30mm) to the stock S14 SE 16x6.5+40 (stock wheel extends 30mm from mounting pad FYI) when I installed the kicks 30mm spacer for a total of 60mm from the mounting pad and they had to have some negative camber on stock body to fit.

18X9.5+12 extends from the mounting pad 96mm, thats huge only way thats will work is mad camber and roll/pull.

Ian
08-04-2005, 02:38 PM
yeah but who dosent run negative camber?

on my S14 i ran a 17x9 +9 offset (24 w/ a 15mm spacer)

it fit fine...225/45 on it and about -2.8 camber the tire tucked in and the rim was about flush...

CHARLIE2020
08-04-2005, 02:53 PM
There is a big difference of opinion on what is "it fits fine" and what is "flush"........im sure you can fit anything you want with alot of camber but i dont wanna run a wheel that looks like its about to fold on its side.......followed by afterbuners launching me up ward...lol like some sort of transforner, at most I only wanna run 1.5 degree.

I'm about to do 18x10 +5 all-around. Anyone beat that? :wiggle:

255/35/18 all-around as well

CHARLIE2020

Well I just got some G35c rims 18x8+30 that I came across for a really good price I'll post pics when I take them of how they fit on a S13 coupe stock body for now.

So far with the 225/45/18 tires which are the front on a G35 mounted on the rear of my 240sx fit really flush with about 2 degrees camber.

I haven't bothered mounting the 245/45/18 (which are the G35 stock rear tires) at all those tires are to damn fat and look horrible on those rims, the 225/45/18 looks pretty decent but i'll either run 225/40/18 or 215/40/18 but I deffinantly need a body kit, i think i'll get some Version Select II Side Skirts first then the rear bumper, should help out alot.

DoriftoSlut
08-22-2005, 03:36 PM
Here's my shit: Rear is pulled not even 20mm or so. I need to put my 30mm wide 1/4s on like Logan said cause I am running too much camber for my taste. Would rather run like.... -1.5-2 degrees so i'm putting the wide fenders on. And other changes too, you'll see in a couple weeks what i mean.

I agree deep dish that are 18 inch look way better than regular full cast wheels like the work emotions

they are 18x9+20 and 18x10+25....... stock fenders, the rear has been lowered since those pics have been taken and when i get out of slanted driveways, i can hear my tires (front and rear) rubbing on the fender lip. im planning on modifying my fender lip this winter so that i can lower my car some more.

imho if an s13 has a body kit, it needs 18's if its stock body, then 17's or maybe 16's.

18s suck up front IMO, too big for those that drive thier cars. Power steering starts to get overworked and rubs a lot unless tires are tiny.

17/18 is best combo IMO, fills fedners and more track friendly.

Yup... up front, if you want to go low on an S13 and still be able to hit full lock, you have to run 17s. Even with 17s i needed to bang the fuck out of my wheel wells. Still rub a bit too.

If you have no idea what i am talking about and ask "Where do you rub?" You obviously haven't done it and are not even close to being low enough (for a drift car.. and in my opinion).

sideview_180sx
10-17-2005, 04:51 AM
those of you who are low enough, you will hear it more then feel it. I do it all the time leaving my driveway due to angle I exit and suspension compression. I need to round fender better so I don't rub and go even lower. Simba is correct about staggered fitment. For all serious pruposes 17/18 is optimal, 17s are still able to clear up front while the 18s help those feel "baller"
