Cali car insurance options??

Wassup fellas, so im a broke college student that only has money for his girl, food, rent, and pouring loads of money into their 40..

So my insurance runs out, registration runs out, and then I go on vacation for two months while my car sits there taken care by a friend. Now that Im back, I need to get this car "street legal" again.

First step for me is to get insurance. What do ya'll think about esurance? www.esurance.com I got a quote, and then at the end, I put all my stuff to minimum.

Me, not really understanding insurance, I don't know what I need. I only need liability insurance because if I crash, all the aftermarket parts in my car won't be insured anyways?? And it's a salvaged title.

Ok, I thought about it a little. Maybe I want to increase my property liability to like $50k just incase I hit a benz or somethin. So taht increases that premium to $186 bringing the total to $377. I COULD LIVE WITH THAT FOR 6 MONTHS :)

How about you get some quotes from progressive, geico, and all those other places before getting that one.

I dunno if they fucked up, but Mercury Insurance charged me 98 dollars a month for full coverage on my Z06. ?? I'm just waiting to get a phone call like...oops. It's 198 a month. Sorry.

You will not find cheaper than Mercury. They are consistently the cheapest insurance I've ever seen. Sucks they don't cover me anymore, woo hoo 1500$ 6-months premiums for liability only! Don't get caught.

i dont want any coverage for myself, well, maybe medical, but main thing is i dont want to pay to get money back for my car? as in like, if i crash, my car is fucked, oh well? cuz its a salvaged title and not worth much anyways....
someone crashed into my friends super nice 86, and he got like, $400
