Hey guys, I'm selling my bike.
It is a 2000 Yamaha R6 (600cc) sportbike.
The ONLY reason I am selling it is so that I can get another, faster bike.
I bought the bike new and it has been extremely well maintained, as well as garage kept for it's entire life. When I brought it in for it's 4000 mile service, the mechanics wanted to know how I got so many miles on a brand new bike... It was a year old! It's seen rain 3 or 4 times max. It's been very responsibly driven, never raced or abused in any way..
I bought and maintained this bike with the intent to keep it 'forever'.. As I said, the only reason I am selling it, is so that I can get another bike, basically the same one but with a bigger engine.
At this instant, the bike has 6275 miles on it, more than 1000 of which are easy highway miles.
Price is $6,500, firm. I paid almost $9,000 out the door when I bought it new. I was offered $5,500 by a dealership a month ago, so if I can't get 6500 for it, I'm just going to use it as a trade-in, because I will save some sales tax that way.
