View Full Version : SR/ 5 speed swap question (not what you think)
I got my wiring done from Touge and I have almost everything together. Except, i was going to get ready to jumper my neutral position switch and can't find the plugs. In fact, i can't find any of the plugs that go into the fuse box. My question is, do is this right, and how am i suppose to jump the NPS now? Can i just cut the plug?
please help!
Thanks

biggest question is did you find the right plug?? it should be under the fuse box not along the side with the rest of the plugs
the ones under the fuse box are plugged in. Its the ones that are on the side of it. The ones i need to jump so i can start it.

on mine all i did was look for the black/white black/yellow wires and jump the prongs with a short wire and 2 spade connectors on the ends fits very well over the prongs on the connector.

The one you need to jump is the BROWN and BLACK wire its location is completly underneith the Relay Box on the Passanger side near the battery.

it should be right on top of the relay box. There are three of them. Splice the top one together to make it start up.
this is the problem i keep having. People are saying to jump from the bottom of the fuse box and others say to jump from the side. From the KA development site, it says to jump from the side of the box, but i don't have any of those connectors. Can anyone help with pix?
BTW: the colors you guys are refering to, i can't identify with cause i don't have them. I just have the male connectors attached to the side of the box. Once again, i don't have the plugs that plug onto the side.

Ignore all other answers and do this:
Jump the two large gauge wire in their own plug. Where ever it may be hidden, that's the one you need. Single plug, two wires only, both 12-10 gauge.
We all know where it should be but yours may have been cut off already or moved somewhere, no point in wasting more time trying to decipher where they are, just find them and connect them.
okay, that sounds good. I see a fat black and a fat white wire. I'll try that.
thanks homie!

Splice them together.

i've come to the conclusion that my tranny harness is different then everyone elses. I check old pictures of the clip before I did the swap and it doens't have those plugs. The plugs that I do have connect to the bottem of the fuse box, but not on the side. I can use the harness that was on my ka, but they are automatic. The only answer I can think of buy a KA lower tranny harness, or find some way to make this one work.
my question is... other then the jumper plug, are the lower 2 connectors nessasary to start the car?
Thanks

no, only need to splice one plug.
so the bottem two aren't used at all?

I think the second one is used to power ur reverse lights but the first one will or should have your car started. There should only be two wires to splice together .
hmm, there are three wires in that plug alone. Some how is still don think thats right. I tried jumping those wires in different variations and still nothing. I'm almost ready to give up.
