Just wondering where I can connect the chain on my ka24de to pull it out from the car? The tranny is still attached. Also is it necessary to pull the radiator? thanks

... SR, but you get the jist.
And it would be a good idea to remove the radiator, it is cheaper to move it out of the way than it is to fuck it up.

I appreciate the picture, but i cannot tell where that is connected.

Nevermind, It looks as though the strap loops around one runner on each manifold, is this safe to support the weight of the engine and tranny?

I don't assume that it will be hanging there for long, so I don't see why not

Nevermind I just looked and I cannot find a strap like that. I have a chain but with 500 lbs on one link of chain I imagine it would crack the runner

i lifted my KA by a runner on the intake/exhaust mani's using a chain, then again i didnt care about the engine. FSM recommends attaching it to the head

Please find that thread and don't jack this one, there was a LOT of discussion, argument and explanation in it, I promise you.

there's 4 four holes in the head where grounds are connected. two towards the front passenger side, and two towards the back driver side. Either that, or wrap the chain around the intake support and exhaust manifold. Removing the radiator would make it easier.

yes take out the radiator

the way we did it

double looped the chain around the engine through the motor mounts, using the intake/exhaust manifolds for stability.

thats the way I've done it also, although prefer using rope.
