Ok lets say I have a 98 with intake and exhuast (plugs and wires if you count those).  I buy a JWT ECU.... I gain..I don't know how much HP I would gain from that mod but anyways, I gain some HP...then later down the road I decide to turbo my KA.

Do I have to pay more to get it setup for a turbo KA?

Or will it automatically reconfigure?

yes.  $100 to re-tune your ecu.

fyi -   I believe they use a 96 ecu and re-tune it for the 97-98 b/c the 96 is ODB-I and 97-98 is ODB-II.

You can get an ECU for a 1998?  What do they do?  Any horsepower or MPG gains?  Or just removing rev / speed limiters?

Anyone know?  How much are they too?

I think it actually lowers your MPG a little, but gives you horsepower gains by injecting more fuel in certain areas of your powerband.  I'm not sure how much, but I"ve heard from some people who've gotten it that its their favorite mod...but its something you don't want to do until you get a few mods already...atleast exhuast and intake.

From what I hear its programmed to take advantage of your mods.
