I just read an article called "make it stick" in sports compact car magazine. It was a good read.
The article talks about the effect of center of gravity and I became interested in exactly where s13's center of gravity would be for both front and rear wheels.
Does any one know?
Or is there any way to calculate the center of gravity?

corner weighing and measuring will take care of two planes. dynamic testing would help with the third.

exactly stating why you would want to know would also further help in us getting an answer to your questions. Are you trying to eliminate chassis flex? Try to design a cage that doesn't alter it? Lighten the car and maintain the same weight distribution percentage?

I could have sworn that the article tells you how to find out......

err...wouldn't you have to know how much each part of the car weighs, then put it into a 3d model on a computer, then figure it out that way? seems like too much work for me to care.

Nah, just corner weigh it, then flip it on its side, and corner weigh it again. Easy chit.

Thanks,

could you explain me more about this procedure?

can you give us information about what the book says?

Don't have the book with me right now but if my memory is correct...

"if roll couple, which is the distance between roll center and the CG gets shorter, this will yield better grip..."
