You can use 5.1. Just not DOT 5.

Oh yeah. Why would you want to spend the extra on high temp fluid when the fluid doesn't see the temps that the brakes do???

Yeah...you can use DOT 5.1...it's interchangeable with DOT 3 & 4...see below links for explanation....

Just DON"T USE DOT 5!!!...you''ll end up regretting it!!!

If you're gonna change your clutch line to the stainless steel one, then you might as well swap out the clutch master cylinder & slave while you are at it. Considering how many miles you have on your car, you might as well. The stock ones are bound to crap out on you sooner or later...knowing your luck probably sooner!!!
Anyhow, if you plan on swapping out the fluid you might as well go all out. Do the master & slave while you are there & go stainless steel. You can order them from TAKAMOTORSPORTS.com. Bout the only problem you're gonna have is you'll have to use your HE-MAN style muscles to bend the clutch line around so it mates up with the stainless steel line. I just watched my buddy Jason, (you met him), do it earlier today on his S14. Wasn't too difficult...just nerve-wreaking..sp??...you don't want to snap or kink that line.
Anyhow, hit me up if you have any questions...
