Mazda ripped everything off the Elan of... 25 years earlier. Everthing except the longer rear deck and slightly pontooned front fenders of the original. But yeah... the Lotus was a... heavy inspiration for the engineering AND styling of the Miata.

HAHA, no it's and AIT bumper the the damage is from me attempting to get on a ferry at high tide. not only did i crack the front, but it cause the whole thing to sag, i am trying t fix it with some zip ties but i think it is beyond that.
