Why couldn't a BMW be in competition? Is it not RWD? Does it not create enough torque to get the rear end loose and keep it there? Please explain your thought process as to why this required it's own Thread? :cj:

D1 is not the be all end all of drifting organizations.....
the Europeans have been drifting all types of cars in sanctioned events, even wierd shit like UNIMOGS and Beetles long before D1 got popular in the U.S.

I hear the GTO's and Mustangs don't even actually use the frame / subframe thing of the actual car on the streets. Completely redone.

^ um.. it's called tube chassis. it is a track car and they went to the full extent to make it a track car.
But there's also a D1 stock class for drifting.
