Or his insurance company (assuming he was insured) will pay for what he fucked up, then drop him and it will be, from there forward, damn near impossible for ANYONE to ever insure him again, provided he gets a driver's license after his year(s) in jail.

I have been in court when people got DUIs and destroyed some shit that didn't belong to them (the judge is more lenient when you only fuck up your own shit) and/or gave the cop shit and they spent more than that one night in jail, even with a lawyer. Even first-timers, and I have seen people go for even longer for their second and third ones. Me? My first will be my last.

i say that do to the fact that he has a pretty nice truck, driving through a nice neighborhood (he may or may not live there) which all means to me that he has some kind of money...

people with money are more likely to get better lawyers, judges know local lawyers (espically good ones) and would rather give out the minimum penalties/bargin/whatever, than risk taking forever in court having the lawyer possibly bullshit the guy out of any charges

since there looks like it was only property damage, and no blood spilled, i speculate that nobody else was injured, and a judge is more likely to hand out lesser punishments since there werent any familys destroyed and whatnot...

plus, the dude probably got his ass rocked by the owner of the house/ car for doing what he did lol

but it pretty much is a matter of circumstance, and im not a lawyer, im just betting $20 lol :)
