anyone have JWT c1 cams or Hks step 2 with stock t25
I was told that my cams would render the stock turbo ineficient and would cause bogging after 4k.
I have a walbro fuel pump already in the car.
here are the specs on my cams
C1 BILLET CAMS SR20 RACE .476" LIFT / 264 DEG. DUR.
I hope that i wont encounter any problems like this...i dont feel like spending more money on bigger turbo/injectors/afc right now....would much rather run t25 and get use to SR first...and then upgrade later.

Sell the cams. They will lower the amount of power you make. Those cams should be used with something that's gonna make 350whp, not 250. I've even heard Enthalpy say that s15 t28's do better without cams and t28's pull much better than a t25 at higher RPM's.
Maybe a Tomei 256 poncams could be used successfully but I'm not sure about it.

Tomei 256's are ideal for a T28, if you can get the Tomei's and Upgrade your turbo you will be good...I have seen Tomeis go as cheap as 250.00 Bucks and If you need me to look for an S14 T28 for you I can usually find them for 350 in Great Shape...(30,000 klms or less) minimal shaft play

i have a s15 turbo ligned up for 400 bucks brand new from nissan..
im prob gonna get it once i can afford the safc and injectors

Brand new never used? No way man...cheapest I can get them here is about
900 for Brand new...thats a great deal..you know its the exact same as the GT28R right? I'm getting one used here real soon, for 300...

I call bs. Actually I know it's BS. Maybe an early model s14 turbo, but even that I would think would cost more. You are a shame to Shock drifting, You have been talking like newbie, I figured members of shock would have taught you better.

this is the set up i have 256 pon tomei cams, and a s-15 t-28 it runs great and is really fun to drive.
(it has been to long for me to remember how the s14 with stock cams felt)

Your car will run like shit till you get a compressor that flows 50 lb/min (640cfm) or better. They will make nice hood props.

I actually had a similar question on this subject. I was looking to run HKS 256 intake and 264 exhaust on my SR0DET. However, I only have the T25 and I actually plan to keep it that way (unless someone would like to donate thier T28). Anyhow, when doing this I was gonna run the HKS sprockets as well as some new springs and retainers too. Does anyone have a comment on that setup? Is it the same comments for this that I have been hearing above? Car is getting new headgasket and seals, thought of doing cam seals too since I was going to do cams. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Have yotu ever had your car dynoed?
did you notice any power increase after dropping in the cams with the S15 turbo?
i have the same turbo and want those cams, so im really curious.

he doesnt have a before and aftr DYNO with the S15 Turbo....I can answer for him since we ride together over here...

IIRC...JWT C1s are like HKS Stage 2s. IF thats the case, youll need adj cam sprockets and proper timing tuning or u can kiss that bottom end good bye. Then while your at it, you might wanna consider some stiffer valve springs. Competition valve springs are the ones Enthalphy is putting his bet on right now. Im bout to run some HKS Step2 272s both sides w/ Greddy sprockets but waiting to get some dyno time with Henry at Motorsports. If i break into 400whp...id be one happy moffo. I doubt itll happen tho, id say ball park of 380hp.

ive got
jwt spings
jwt titanium retainers
jwt adjus cam sprokets
and the c1 cams.
all this came with my motorset...brand new...so ya..i wanna make the best of em'
I guess my only option is to buy the danm turbo... lookin lik a gt28 is the way 2 go.
Since im broke ass fuck... id only be able to run stock boost until i could afford AFc MAf and injectors.
Hopefully all is well once i get the turbo..

You are retarded, all that isn't going to do shit for your T28. T28 imo doesn't flow enough to warrant cams, sprockets, etc etc. With all hat stuff you allow your engine to take in and expel more volume... that ability is good. But you won't be able to meet the demand with your wimpy T28 and especially T25.
I would spend a little more money and get a GT2871R. Then you can use those peices to their full potential. Oh and get 720cc injectors, and a ROM tune (or Power FC, or eManage). If you can't aford to do all that right now, put the cams in some nice cloth rags and store them in your closet until you can.
