I just finnished prepping my 89 240sx to start and turned the key. I have power, but the fuel pump does not turn on and the starter does nothing. Where do you think is a good place to start. I have the crappy wiring diagrams from the manual, but I need something better. WHere is the fuel pump and starter relay? THanks for any help

check your battery voltage...check it just sitting then and then check it when you try to crank...if it stays the same the starter isnt drawing any power...

for it to turn over u have to have the engine grounded

if the engine wasn't grounded he'd still have the fuel pump turn on. my guess its the wiring.

Check to see if the starter is even connected. Theres a wire that got loose on me and it wouldnt turn over either.

Yeah, it's a pretty flimsy connection. Lightning, I would check your ignition wiring. I lack sophistication in wiring but when we did my swap I had a similiar issue which was rooted in the wiring.
