I know there was a thread about this, do whatever you need to do, mods...

this makes me mad because I paid over 500 for my real n1 duals, had them for 2+ years and now they are starting to rust :(

although I have an s14, I did see these at the beginning of the year but they didn't sell much, does anybody have this exhaust? if so, what quality, fitment, sound, and increase did you get?

discuss about the disgust...lol

thanks

i don't think they ever stop making them, you don't see them on ebay probably for the fact that they want to increase the price of it. as i remember around december 04 the price for it was ~230 shipped for the S13 N1 Single version and now the price was 260 shipped. but of course you can always order the exhaust with an expensive price on their website.

at that price i dont think you complain

you get what you pay for

if the fit sucks then you use the money you saved and have a muffler shop reweld/fix it

if price is the issue just go custom exhaust, $40 bucks for muffler + $70 labor, done deal.

DUAL, not duals. You don't have four exhaust tips.

why wouldnt you just search for the original thread and then update that rather than starta a whole new thread with you just whining about old news...this thread is :ghey: going to get locked or merged soon

wow.....i MIGHT actually spend money on that in the coming months....
but that's a big "if".

if it sounds like apexi n1 dual, and flows just as well (i don't see why it wouldn't)...it might end up on my car....
definitely going to need to see it on other people's cars first....hahaha
no way i'd be the guinny (sp?) pig for their stuff.

I suggest you do it "eBay"... Believe it or not, they ship the stuffs FAST... I won the auction on Tuesday, and I got my stuffs on Friday. (NC to Indiana).

I don't know anything about SSA's customer service though ...

i've heard their customer service still sucks....but if you can find someone who's bought their exhausts recently, they could probably tell you for sure.
get the exhaust on ebay. SSA's site has higher prices....and um.....it's not worth the money for what you COULD be risking...
get it on ebay....save money for the work that MIGHT need to be done to it, if it's not perfect.

doesn't look bad.. might just pick one up off ebay. does anyone have a pic of this exhaust on their car? does this exhaust angle out like the n1 dual?

raen419

it's basically a stainless copy of the n1 dual.
go to ssa's website. they have a pic of it on a hatch.

ssauto doesnt make these exhausts, its made up a aussie company i think called MOTORIA, ssauto customer service does suck but dont clown products not made by them.... their manifolds are made by xs power and same with intercooler core. only thing ss makes is SS pipes for fmic kits. deRrR

that's good to know.
gives me a little more faith in spending my $$$ on that.
iirc, i've seen a number of aussie s15's using motoria parts.

dang you are like 6+ months behind trying to compare SSA to brand name is old news. if you want to go cheap then get SSA if not then name brand. Just don't come on here saying "SSA sux quality is wack.......blah, blah" because you get what to paid for....live with it dammit. if you exhaust is starting to rust did you ever keep the ground strap connected to your exhaust??

i have to admit, you do get what you paid for unless its an alley discount

When it comes to the exhausts that SSA sells, you get much more than what you paid. Pesimistic views are depressing.

6+ months behind?
no.
i just never bothered looking into actualyl buying anything from SSA considering their record/customer service.
now that i have better info, i might spend the cash on this n1 dual knock off.

SSA exhaust (n1 single canister style) is fine, no clearance issue, sounds good, and it's cheap. Spend the money elsewhere on suspension parts.

again, do it Ebay, shipping is fast, nicee packaging, quite of few freebies (free test pipe with my purchase, bunch of bolts and gaskets).

SSA customer service sucks according to other members... I never personally deal with them, everything was automated via Ebay.

yeah i bought my fmic kit last week, before then i had great communication thru emails, once i paid they stopped emailing w/ no confirmation. its happened to 10 or so members that i know of and htey got their items withing 5 days so im confident. anyhow if u dont want ur exhasut to rust then paint it LMAO it is stainless steal IMA. anyhow for 195.00 i can hardly see complaining seeing that the exhasut is veery nice, oe fitment, great clearance and it sounds good
