i have compression and spark, timing is right. Injectors are good but they dont seem to be spraying fuel in the cilinders. I tried starting the engine and then i took out the sparkplugs and the cili was dry. I think the fuel pump is pretty new. Anyone know of anything else it could be? i took off the whole head to replace the HG and it ran before that. Is there anyway to test the FP? Its an s13 89 240sx

do you hear the fuel pump prime the system before you turn over the engine?

go and buy a in line FP tester and put it on the line going off the filter and see if you have any press. with the key on. if you do make sure that the fuel lines are going to the right place. off filter to where the FPR is.

i checked all that and it has pressure, the thing that worries me is that i took out the line that goes back to the fuel tank and i put it in a bottle and had my dad start the car and nothing sprayed into the bottle. So i dont think that any fuel is going into the cilinders because in theory there would be unused fuel that would go back through that line back into the tank. Do you guys think im missing a plug or a important vacuume line somewhere? I checked and everything looks good.

First of all put the pressure gauge on the outlet side of the fuel pump. Listen to see if the fuel pump cycles for 5sec. when the ignition is in the run position, and see if it has pressure.

This may sound dumb.. But mabey the fuel lines are backwards or switched up.
