this is for s14. i have a black dash and center console, but my door panels are green. its ugly. i dont care enough about door panels to spend like 150$ on some new ones. so how can i paint these green ones black without it looking like shit? any ideas?

did that vinyl dye cover any scratches or dried out spots? I pulled my fabric off of my door and would love to restore that to the original shade.

My friend decided to paint his dash a different color to match his interior as well. We had Car Quest Paint, which I believe is nationwide, mix our vinyl paint. Vinyl paint is a good solution that you should consider as others have mentioned as well. It's a little bit expensive for paint...about 15-20 bucks per pint, if I remember correctly, but it's definitely worth it.

well i got the autozone stuff, first coat was kindof blotchy, put another coat on, letting it dry, hope it looks better afterwards, eep.

You did it clean it thoroughly first, right? Any sort of chemical left on the vinyl will cause it to discolor, cloud, pit, or even flake off.

Krylon Fusion works too, from what I've heard. I used it on my old car some...you just have to make sure you prep the surface and clean it really well.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that, cleaning the dash off is important. I believe it may be difficult to impossible if you've used armour all or some similar product on your dash as the silicon, I believe it is, gets imbedded in the dash and is difficult to remove. This will cause paint to not stay on. Cleaning it off is definitely important.
