I think the '94s were convertibles only.

Yeah, and all convertibles were automatics...I don't think they made very many in '94 either...there's always a surplus of them on eBay for some reason tho..

1991: A more potent twin-cam, 16-valve 4-cylinder engine arrived for 1991, as a new LE hatchback replaced the XE. Essentially the SE hatchback with leather upholstery and air conditioning, the LE was the highest-priced 240SX model. The lineup also included hatchbacks and notchbacks in base and SE trim. With new sequential fuel injection, the '91 engine developed 155 horsepower--15 more than before. All coupes got a new nose with an integrated bumper. Antilock braking, previously optional only on the SE hatchback, now could be installed on the LS.
1992: A convertible debuted during 1992 in "Limited Edition" trim with a rear spoiler, automatic transmission, and power top, windows, and door locks. Otherwise, changes were minimal except for eliminating available antilock braking on the LE model.
1993: Not much change marked the 1993 models, but the leather-upholstered LE hatchback was gone.
1994: An SE convertible was the sole body style offered for '94, unchanged except for a new "cherry red pearl" color choice.

I think there is about 1500 convertibles in the US. They are actually more rare than the 97-98 breed <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

OK here are some stats:
1990 - 1/4 mile in 16.5 sec
1991 - 1/4 mile in 16.1 sec (0-60 7.9)
1993 - 1/4 mile in 16.3 sec
1994 - 1/4 mile in 17.3 sec
1995+ - 1/4 mile in 16.1 sec (0-60 8.3)
So yeah, they were faster than the 90 SOHC, but by 1995 the technology got better <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

The 91 are running same setup as 93s so i don't think there is a large diff there. Plus those are approximate, cuz it's really depends on the driver.

iirc the 91 had bigger exhaust cam than the 93, that made the .4 sec 0-60 difference 7.9 vs 8.3
also, the 240 from 95 and on was better tuned for mid range power.

It's funny because I see the convertible all the time, and rarely ever see an mcs14. :hmmmm:

Hrm if anyone is confused.... '94 240sx's produced consisted of a single convertable model. However, the convertables came in production 2 years before that, e.g. in 92. So basicly there were 3 years when the convertibles were produced...
