Apex-i, greddy, and HKS make kits that have a metal replacement for the rubber/plastic intake pipe.

The Apex-i Super Suction kit can be had w/ either Z32 maf or stock SR maf. places like www.phase2motortrend.com and other hks/ apex/ greddy dealer can get their hands on them.
they're exspensive though

check out your local exhaust shop for the pipe and buy couplers and clamps.

step 1. get a filter. go to ricerzone and pick up a cone k&n filter

step 2. go to home depot look for a pipe. if you cant go to step 3.

step 3. go to a welder and see if he can fab a pipe. do this if u skiped step 2.

step 4. go back to home depo and get 2 couplings and 2 t bolt clamps etc. you could have done this in Step 2, but how cool was the ride around town to look for a welder? go to step 5.

step 5. attach the homemade intake kit.

step 6. figure out you forgot to buy a maf adapter. freak out, make a separe post and then get told to get it on ebay.

step 7. try again with newly bought maf adapter.

also a lot of ricer tuner shops sell universal MAG adapters and you may have to drill a couple of holes to match your MAF bolt pattern. When I was in the states I would alway have a fw of those so I could hook people up with short rams for a minimal fee

and what about the pipe. i need a whole kit pie and all. thats why i started the thread by saying the only one i saw that was reasonable was the one from enjuku. you dont always have to be an arrogant know it all thats afraid to answer questions in fear of being wrong.

The pipe is 2 90 degree manrel bends welded together, 2 silicone/rubber couplers, maf adapter and filter. Then you need a bov, and catch can so you dont need the two ports that are on the stock pipe.

Didn't want to post a new thread. I am comverting my short ram into a cold air by getting the extra piping, I have a Stock KA minus the exhaust and suspension. Just wondering if it's going to really make a difference...?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 240sx with KA24DE already have the best intake out there, plastic piping so heat doesn't soak from your radiator and a ram air intake to get a nice cold charge of air. You decided this was not good because someone told you that a shiny pipe has more flow and a cone filter has more flow then flat filter right.
