Ok, So I lost control around a corner last night and slid off the road hard core. Knocked my ass pretty silly hitting the roof a few times. Didnt really seem to F anything up, excpet my cold air extension broke off. Drove the car home, on the way home it was hesitating and trying to die, i figured that i had pinched my exhaust. Well, appon further inspection this morning, the exhaust is fine, BUT my car wont run now, it will start up and run for about 10 seconds then it sputters out and dies. Im freakin Clueless. Everything appears to be fine, except for the big chunks of grass imbedded between my rim and tire. Please help revive my baby, shes my only car, so obviously shes my DD.

maybe your intake is broken/disconnected between MAF and engine?
Or the MAF is disconnected... or fsckd up?

yeah, check everything where your intake is connected to, make sure all pipes/hoses/and maf are in tact

it definitely sounds like somethings off on your intake
when i cleaned my filter i forgot to reconnect one of those little vacuum lines that attach to the stock intake. car would start, sputter and die within a few seconds.

Ok, so a friend told me that with the filter off, it confuses the maf and wont run, and that i should fix my cold air and put it back on, any input on this idea? Mostly stock 93 KA. Coupe.

car will run without a filter *but you should have one*.....check for ANY vacuum leaks after the MAF, thats where your problem would be

put a filter on. your car will run like shit (if at all) if you don't. It'll usually be ok at higher RPM, but good luck getting it to idle.

I believe it's the wiring.. my friend discounted a vacuum line while we were sanding my valve cover down (I forgot why) and then I forgot it was disconnected the next day, so I started my car. It started, sputtered, and died within 10 seconds. Possibly?

Ok, so i figured out why my cart wouldnt start, I was freakin out of gas!!!!
Which i think may be the reason i lost control, i think my car hesitated and threw it off balance as i came around the curve, cause i always take it at about 55, and usualy dont get sideways at all.
So, note to self, no twisty roads on an empty tank.

Wow, its amazing, every post on here has been nothing but helpful, yet on my local tuner forum, I get called an idiot, and a retard, mostly by one guy, even though everyone else is sticking up for me. amazing how a site with 18k plus members functions so much better than one with 700.
Just thought Ide throw this out there as a thank you to all the helpfuls out there.
