searched...

found my injectors leaking and bought used ones connected to rail ready to be install. it looks like a simple job be want some pointers befor i do it. im having frustration taking off/on the clips(damn metal thats u shaped) ontop of the injectors. any advise will be appreciated.

First, replace the o-rings on the new injectors you got.

If you think you are gonna strip the screws that hold the injector cover on, break them loose with some vice grips. Then remove the metal covers being careful not to lose the little rubber spacers on them. Then spray some wd-40 on the injectors and let it soak for a few minutes. Then twist the injectors a couple times using pliars. Then put the screws back in about half way and pry the injectors out using small flat head screw drivers on both sides of the injectors.

those screws will be the death of me. might as well get more screws and just drill the suckers out of the rail. it'll be faster and less frustrating

OMG. There is this tool that is FREAKING AWESOME. I just used it to get the screws out for my injector. It's a impact screwdriver. It has a changable bit, you hit it with a hammer and it jolts the screw loose sooooo easy. Dunno where they sell them. lol

ohh yes i used one of those before. that was after i had to change injectors though. fuck. i dunno where to get em either. maybe a tool store
