just a question about my 1990 240. i just changed my injectors and fuel rail(previous owner said the injectors are going and they need to be replaced) and now i seem to have a lot of hesitation.

before i changed the injectors and the fuel rail the car would run and start just fine but it was running really rich and would back fire. now that ive installed the new injectors and fuel rail i seem to have an issue with starting the car and also an issue with the car when its running.

as it stands when i turn the car on right now it keeps turning over for about 10-20 seconds(sorry if i used incorrect terminology) and then it turns on. before i changed fuel rail and injectors it would turn on right away with almost no wait. the idle rpm at cold right now is about 850-1000rpm but when the car is warm and idleing it idles as high as 1500rpm and then it goes back down and sits about 1100-1200rpm. also when driving the car it seems to hesitate below 2500 rpm and above that it doesnt seem to have the same pull.also when i hit about 5500rpm to about redline at WOT it seems like its losing power(running lean?).

im pretty sure my timing is off but i dont think that would cause me to have all these weird hesitation and power losses because if it was then before i changed the injectors it shouldve done the same thing. ive also checked the vacuum lines and have replaced the o-rings on all the injectors. ive kinda hit a wall on what to do next so any suggestions would be great.

thanks.

actually your timing can cause the hesitation and crap like that, thats what happened to me. change your timing to the correct position and see what happens.....
