Hey!
In the past i used to wrap a fuse w/ a wire and then pop in the fuse. Is this a safe route for getting power from a fuse? thanks!

No. The extra wire will spread the prongs out in the box and make the fuse loose.

splice into the wire on the other side.

^ And there it is. You can also pull power from the column, the circuits are all high amp and can handle almost any load you put on them.

Also, doing that will bypass the fuse on your new line if you dont pick the right side to pull power from.
Make sure you add a fuse if you pull power from somewhere thats not already fused like the battery terinal itself. Probably not a bad idea even if its on another line depending on what you are hooking up and where you are getting power from.

they make little fuse taps, but they kinda suck, I was in pepboys the other day though and they had a nice little fuse tap kit that was a lot better than the stupid little metal taps. look into it.

I am getting power from my battery terminal for my radiator fan(temporary setup). Is it essential to have a fuse hooked up there? How can i hook up a fuse? thanks!

Yes you need a fuse. buy a fuse holder and hook it inline on the wire. Insert fuse into holder. Done
If you couldn't figure this out on your own I am very afraid of what you are going to fuck up on your car.

How about 20-30A one. Depends on the fan.

I dont know what kind of fan it is but it looks like a cheap one off ebay. Its about 15" wide and it says "revcor" on it. Is this enough info to determine what amp to use?

30A to be safe, no more than that though. The OE circuit is fused to 30A, I don't see an electric fan pulling any more that that.

Take a look at the motor on it for a sticker that has a current or power rating.
If its in watts, divide by 12.
