About 30 minutes ago, some guy walked into my office and asked
"Do you do brake jobs on mustangs?"
Me: "Yes sir"
Him: "Ok i'll be back in 30 minutes"
Me:"Ok"
He walks out the front door and down El Camino(a main street in the city)
5 minutes after this, one of my mechanics runs into the office
"Hey boss, some guy just drove away in that mustang."
I was confused for a quick second. I called the cops obviously.
The description my mechanic gave was a middle aged black buy in a black sweater or sweatshirt with short curly hair. Sounds like the same guy that was asking me about the brake job, but i didnt see who drove the car away so i cant be certain it was the same guy. Plus not too many black people around here anyways(especially customers cause I get like one every 2 months) The guy that walked in the office did seem kinda out of place..somewhat dirty clothes and they way he asked me question was wierd. Do you do brake jobs on mustang?....of course. wtf do you think? And he was looking around all wierd-like. I didnt want to jump to conclusions, but i cant help but think it was him. Anyways..got a police report filed and the officer left one of his folders full of police code and maps in my office. Gotta call his ass back over now.
They (cops)are always skeptical find stolen cars in one piece, but i hope this guy gets nailed soon before it's too late. Or i'm gonna have to fill out a claim with my insurance company since i'm liable for it since it was on my property and we were going to work on it. Crap
