Which would be a better buy an s13 or an s14 I have a choice between either one I found a 98 se, and a 92 se, both are sweet but I can't decide on which one I really want.

I think they're both really nice cars. The 98 is a lot rarer and newer, but if you get the 92 you'd have a lot more money for mods and other stuff. Hehheh... Sorry for pointing out the obvious stuff. :P They're both nice cars. ^_^ If money isn't an issue...get both.

I'd say it really depends on what your goal for the car is. Whats the asking price on the two cars? They both in good shape?

both are nice and in good condition. I could get a better deal on the s13 B/c it belongs to my cousin and she dosent drive it cause she got a 2000 accord. So I thought I would take advantage, but the 98 is bad as hell and I really want it.

I prefer this?? $18500

But In any event you can make a 98 look bad as hell. Mine Has full body kit and wing. Like you see here -->

the S13 has a lot more aftermarket in the US then the S14. but i just love the stylish and cultured, yet sport and aggressive looks of the S14. Plus it dosen't have those dam auto seatbelts (not that theres anything wrong with that )

those damn seatbelts... I have had more people panic out of fear for being strangled by them than you could ever imagine. IMO, if its a fastback get it, S14's look too much like an SC300(just realize that sc300/400's are hella nice cars and I would love one ). They are equally rare--more or less--so it is up to you.

The 97/98 s14 is dead sexy. As has been noted, it depends on what you want.

You will find that the s13 (particularly the coupe) is lighter than the s14. You will also find that the s14 is more comfortable (mostly because of the seats) and it has a nicer, more refined interior. The only difference in engines you will find is the DOHC (91 - present) vs. SOHC (89/90) [and I could be wrong here). The 91 - 98 have a bit more power, and you may see the newer cars performing a bit better, if nothing more than because they have fewer miles in general. I personally think all of the 240s are great, but think that the 97/98 s14 is gorgeous. That being said, I own an s14.

BTW: This is all IMO.

This of course is MHO....If your getting a daily driver that youu would like to own and maintain get the S14. If you want a car that you can mod and have fun with for awhile then get the s13. the s14 can be modded and fun and the s13 can be reliable and last, but if it were up to me that is how I would chose. If I wanted to mod and play then the s13 will leave me more$$ to do so. As a sexy, reliable daily driver I would prefer to get the s14. Also remember I own an s14!

IMO if you find a stick 97/98 good condition take it! They are rare. I see hatch's all the time. Dont get me wrong i love all 240s but i figure itll be harder to buy a s13 then maybe later a s14a than a s14a then a s13. I wouldnt pass up an offer...

I personally would chose a 95-96 over a 97-98. Mainly because of the headlights and the cheaper price. I miight be the only one but I like the 95-96 better than the 97-98. It is mainly because they look like the R33 (which is the best LOOKING car IMO).

I love the way S13s look though. I used to think that they were butt ugly, but when you think about it S13s have a sleek racing style body. The only thing that I didn't really like wa sthe head lights, but when in sleepy eye mode they look hella sweet. Also the clear corner headligh conversion looks really nice.

All in all I would go with a 5-Sped 95-96 if you can find one in your range. If not find either an S13 with a blown motor and get the swap or just buy a cheap S13 and go from there

I have a 92 Coupe and love it, though I have to admit I always wanted a S14. Something about the butt-end of those cars is sexy. Here's the thing, S13=cheaper mods, S14=looks. That's just how I see it. I think I have the same engine as the S14, but a little lighter. I love my S13, but if I had the same choice you did, go S14.

Well i love my 240 i have a 97 base model but i get raged on all the time for having an auto but hey i dont know how to drive a stick and i did not want to wait i wanted a car and i choose to get the 240 and made friends while having it.But please peps who know me leave me alone aout having an auto i dont care who i faster anylonger i will be saving to get my turbo and set my car up for drag.I will be a killer on the road when i get done. But back on topic it depends onwhat you want in the 240 s14 has a better style imo but weight 100 pounds more then the hatch ka24de but the seat hold you better imo in the s13 and are easier to find.I was lucky to get my 97 cus i have only seen 3-5 other 97-98's around one was from richmond.
