about 4 hours.. orange degreaser, a rag, and a screw driver for those 'hard to reach' places..

I'm happy with it

why didnt you just use simple green? Spray simple green every and wait about 5 minutes, spray off with hose, and apply tire shine, i usually use eagle tire shine, smells gooooood.

I didn't do that 'cuz it's INSIDE my garage ( and immobile ).. and I already had degreased it once but it was so dirty that it didn't work too well. Despite the picture differences you can see how clean the bay is in the newer pic and that's all that really matters.

and timing will be done today or tomorrow.. so it'll be done

^^^ absofuckinlutley. If you want your engine bay to look like the thread starters, there is no other way to do it right than by hand with brushes and shit. Looks very nice, lets see if you can keep it like that now, thats the trick. I have a hot water steam cleaner that can tear skin, and without using elbow grease and shit, results like his are unatainable.

The head looks a lot cleaner too, did you use the screwdriver in between the valve springs? How did you clean out under the camshafts?
