I went to a Nissan parts place and the people didn't know jack. The people were mostly jerks and they didn't have my parts! Is it just where I live or does Nissan have a prob?

It must be where you live.  My Nissan parts department KICKS ASS.  They hook me up with great prices and excellent service.  They so kick ass.  These guys are way better than the Acura dealer I used to take my Integra to.  Those guys were upitty (sp?) dickheads.

GO NISSAN!!!

I believe S13grl works in the nissan parts department, so ask her if you need any help. The acura dealor that I get parts from has a great parts department. Oh yeah, I refuse to go to any AutoZone store. Long story ask Grant for the details.

The one I went to wasn't really all that and they didn't seem very helpful. &nbsp;I think they were laughing at me in the back everytime I asked for a price on a part. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hmmm.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hmmm:'>

When I did my brake swap, I went to the parts department many times. &nbsp;They told me that they didnt know what I needed, even though I brought in the caliper. &nbsp;Then they said that the caliper wouldn't fit. &nbsp;I said it will, once I get the parts. &nbsp;Then they said it would void my warranty. &nbsp;I said I didn't have a warranty left. &nbsp;And finally they refused to get the parts, because I don't have a 300zx tt. &nbsp;
I got pissed.. and threw something at them. &nbsp;Then came back the next day. &nbsp;They still wouldn't order the parts, cuz I didn't have a 300zx tt. &nbsp;I said I had it, but I couldn't drive it CUZ IM HOLDING ITS BRAKE CALIPER, YOU ASSHOLES!!! &nbsp;Then they ordered my parts.
What was the deal with that?

i only went to the local dealership here twice, they were able to find my part fairly quick and even hooked me up with a better price the second time i ordered a control arm from them(same one in 1 week)...long story.

but anyways I'm guessing its like everything else in life, not everthing is perfect and some parts stores are not gonna be as good as others.

The guys in my parts dept are a bunch of fucking retards!! &nbsp;I usually wind up driving the hour or so it takes to get to Hubler Nissan in Greenwood, IN (south of Indy) just to get any Nissan specific service done or for parts. &nbsp;Here's my story (one of them, anyway):

My battery connector is broken, because the previous owner put a small battery in the car, and as a result the tie down was lost and allowed the battery to move... &nbsp;So, I need the tie down, and J bolt, AND I need the connector (the red plastic piece with the cover). &nbsp;I ask them for what I need, and they CAN'T find the connector!! &nbsp;They DID find the tie down parts, but it was 5 bucks MORE than if I had ordered it from Courtesy Nissan. &nbsp;INCLUDING the $7 in shipping it takes to get HERE! &nbsp;CHRIST. &nbsp; Anyway, I come back the next day with the broken connector in hand. . I just took it out of my car in the parking lot, and hauled it in. . &nbsp;Dipshit says "Oh yeah we have that!" &nbsp;And so I order it. . 21 bucks. . I figure, this seems reasonable. &nbsp;Know what I get ?! I get the red fucking plastic cover, but nothing at all that I need. &nbsp;(they did allow me to return it)

Nothing but a bunch of corndog eating mullets working at my dealership... They love to tell me they can't find the part because they don't even LIKE import cars! &nbsp;This bitch had a smirk on her face last time I was in there, when they said they can't find the part. &nbsp;I 'bout smacked her. . I was already pissed as it was. &nbsp;

UGH. . sorry. . this post just got me riled up.

"I got pissed.. and threw something at them." &nbsp;

LMAO!!!!! Thats so funny, what did you throw at them?

and more on the topic, almost every dealer parts department isnt going to know what you need or what you are talking about. They hire the stupidest people in the world, just to piss off the customer.

I was thinking of throwing my caliper at them... but I threw one of their pens against the wall... right by the man that refused me service, as I "Don't have a 300zx twin turbo."

Just save your time and patience and try Parts Locator (http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/) Most of their pages have illustrations to go along with the parts to make things go smoother.

I was on my way to the Nissan dealership because Autozone hates me and won't let me return anything if I don't have my reciept. They gave me 2 wrong belts for my car. There are only 3 total, WTF? Then they won't take them back, anyway. The Nissan dealership is brand new, and he was complaining that his computer was showing that there ARE NO BELTS ON MY CAR!! He had enough sense to tell me that he was going to find another way to look it up, well after waiting 10 minutes, I went out to the car and had to get the numbers of the belts, and give it to him that way. I don't think that it's thier fault, at least here, the computers are messed up. Anyway, I got the belts, and a feul filter, and he gave me some nuts that I was complaining about that I lost... Overall I thought that he knew what he was doing, he was nice about it, laughing and all. Just thier computers don't match up well.
