I just wanted to let everyone know that 350Z seats doesn't fit S13/S14 without modification to the brackets. I'm sure many of you have read that 3 of the 4 bolts fit but it's just not true. Here are the pics. The front mounting brackets are about 2" too forward. They can be move by drilling out the brackets and moving them back but that doesn't help with the fact that the driver seat sits a bit too high for me. I'm 6'2". I don't think that it'll be too difficult to make them fit, it's not just as easy as I was lead to believe. I'll update this thread once I get them mounted.

I have to say that the seats are awesome in fit and feel. I don't think there's a better upgrade for the price. Also they weight about the same as my stock leather seats. They're about 40lbs each without any electronics on them.

you can make any seat fit with some work, but the bottom line is people will say anything to get something sold. And the seats simply dont fit, do you really think Nissan has the same basic floor plan from 15 years ago?

Thanks for clearing that up, I'm sure there were doubts/confusion/dont-know-for-sure's in these forums.

Those look really nice for stock seats. OEM=win.

Look nice but don't hold very well, but I guess I am biased with buckets.

They whole alot better than my leather seats that's for sure. But you're right, it's never going to beat a full race seat. I have to say I'm suprise at how well they do their job.

depends what you mean 'better upgrade for the price', depends on how much you got them for...
because the r32 gtr's fit almost perfectly (3/4 bolts) and it's not too pricey for a set, or a s15 set (which doesn't look it feels better than the gtr)..

but, those pics you have do look nice, and i imagine the feel must be great as well

Can you bend the bolsters in on the Z33 seats? I find that most OEM sport seats are made for lard-ass Americans (even fatter than my 210 lb potato-shaped torso). Bending the side bolsters in 2" on each side should give the seats a nice pinch...

I have a set of BMW M3 'Vader' seats that look great but offer no lateral support from their gigantic bolsters. Since the Bimmer seat has heavy steel construction, you can use a ratchet strap and 2 phone books to bend it in a bit. *IF* the Z33 seats have an internal steel frame, you should be able to do the same.

yeah, i think if you're gonna spend money on new seats, they better be UPGRADES...i dont really believe in "oem upgrades" when it comes to stuff like seats...

maybe z brakes, or even wheels.

but seats? there's bride and recaro for that. Cant afford it? Sparco or Momo make seats for less then 300 after brackets and sliders.

Sizzoo, it was just high enough that the top of my head was almost grazing the roof and I don't even have a sunroof. But with the brackets drilled out and the new brackets I'm making, it's almost stock height.
