Found out my a/c compressor has gone bad. :bash: Anyways, I was hoping if anyone can quote the cheapest price and the website where I can get it. What is too much for a compressor? Need it pretty soon. It's been 100 degrees for the last 5 days and I really can't stand it. Any websites you reccommend? ANYTHING will help right now. Thanks.

Edit: Does brandname compressors matter?

Do we need to come install it for you too? Pour you a glass of Kool-Aid and make you a Balogna sandwhich? Can you not do a little research on your own? Sorry but Zilvia is not here to spoon-feed you.

Did the research, just don't want to get ripped off like you probably have, being that you probably haven't thought of the idea first. If a site that I haven't seen comes up from helpful people then I can compare prices. See the sense in that? Yeah thanks. If you don't want to help, why reply?

yeah i think it does. the way i see it is cheaper it is less quality it has. its like comparing JAP and domestic engines all run but in long run will last longer and better built.

if i were you i'd get a used compressor as long as you can vertify the milege on it. i have a feelign i am going to need to do that pretty soon

havent thought of that. might head up to the salvage yard to see if i can get a hold of a good one. dont think buying a used compressor online will be the greatest idea. appreciate it.

spoon-feed (spnfd)
tr.v. spoon-·fed, (-fd) spoon-·feed·ing, spoon-·feeds

1. To feed (another) with a spoon.
2. To treat (another) in a way that discourages independent thought or action, as by overindulgence.
3. a. To provide (another) with knowledge or information in an oversimplified way.
b. To provide (knowledge or information) in an oversimplified way.

Sorry, we don't do that here.

oh yeah check this site out
www.car-parts.com
i dont know if this does much good but when i call those places i say somethingl like " do you have VIN number for this vehicle to vertify the milege?"

if htey give you the vin then i put it in the good pile if they dont fuck them. ofcourse they may still give you vin from another 240 but this is just something that makes me feel lil more secure about the purchase...

i remember once i asked a salesman that he totaly flipped out started yelling about how if i dont trust him i should go fuck myself then hung up lol ...good times :D

Thanks Al_S14 for the help. gonna look into it, yea, i mean it feels a little dangerous getting shit from salvage yards and used stuff over the net. i think imma just settle down and get this. I'm willing to spend the money if it means I get to stay out of the heat. Thanks again. The site is the cheapest price I've seen! Look on autozone.com and other places like that, they run me 300+. All the sites I went to ran me a whole load of cash. All Foreign Auto Parts, Inc. - PRP, PRP-MA sells for 150. Thanks.
