this really sucks...i was going to pep boys to try to see if they can order some parts for my brake upgrade...went into the left turning lane....brand new black silverado truck in front of me was going into the driveway in front of me as well...he went into the driveway he was right inside the driveway so i followed. but he stopped...i stopped 4-5 feet away from him..(my front wheels were on the sidewalk)...he kicked it into reverse..and reversed back into my car...

damage to my car (visible): front driver side fender-gone, corner signal light-gone, center grill-cracked, front bumper-scratched.
damage to his car: bumper (rubber part-scratch...can be easily buffed away

he moved the car and parked it...i did the same..parked next to him...first thing he did was look at the damage of both cars...then he said in his broken english "why did you follow me? i back out to go" (my translation was that he was trying to make a 3-point turn in the pep boys driveway...so he could get back into the dealer's parking lot which was pep boy's neighbor)...then i asked for his information... exchanged info...a few of his buddies from the dealer came (btw the car he was driving the dealer's car) and tried to sort things out but of course they took his side....and then in the middle of all this he lies out of his ass in his broken english and says that he didn't reverse and i hit him..ONCE he said this...i called the police but it was already too late cuz the police said since the car already left, we were in the middle of exchanging info and there was no injuries that's all they can do.

they spoke some spanish and i had no idea wtf they were saying (i took spanish but these bastards speak so damn fast)...worse thing is since they are located right next to where the accident occured they can always say that they saw me hit him..which if that's the case i've got no idea what the hell i'm gona do..i was pissed but kept it inside cuz this guy is a fugging asshole.....guess the car was sold and he was moving it or something. they also moved the car back to their dealership in the middle of the exhange of info (i wanted to take a picture of his car as well..so i asked if i could..their manager also showed up in between all this and he said sure...by the time we exchanged info and were done...the car was gone...didn't kno where it went)...

we'll see how this shit turns out..gona call the damn insurance company tomorrow...such a fugging hassle

tried that...autozone's website is actually the most complete and one of the best. didn't have what i needed listed online...gave them a call..and yea...told me to call every once in awhile since they inv gets updated daily, kragen is the same deal but they're not nearly as helpful so they're done...pep boys...never going back....napa...their website is a little flaky and i keep getting these errors (they suck with javascript)..i'll probably give them a call tomorrow along with my insurance company....

btw...i have nothing against mexicans...i have several very close latino/hispanic friends...but i said "bastards" for the simple fact that their lying their asses off and speaking in a foreign language that i dont understand (they must be conjuring up some fake ass story to cover themselves)

I reccomend getting a lawyer first off.. threatening to sue over a fek grand of damage will most likely make them pay up to save face. also when you are threatening to sue make sure you draft a letter describing their actions (make it sound proffessional) and tell them, try not to make it sound like a threat though, that the letter will be being sent to the Better Business Bureau, as well as all the local newspapers, tv channells etc...

this shouldn't be a problem...i have the dealer's insurance policy number..driver's driver's lience # and address, name, etc. Also have the new car's VIN number...i think i got most of hte information covered...there would be no reason for me to have this stuff unless i was involved in an accident (unless i secretly broke into their dealership and stole all this information for a lousy grand of bodywork)...took 4-5 pictures of my car

just my .02...any claims adjuster would know right away that you did NOT hit him. Look at where that dent is and the minimal amount of scraping that occured. For you to be the moving vehicle in this accident, you would have had to slide into him at that angle. Otherwise, there would be deep scraping on the part of the fender that is now pushed in.
