Installed new t3/t4 but due to manifold design i had not way to mount the interall wastegate onto the turbo. so i had to make a halfass mount. but does the size of the actuator matter for holding the wastegate, mine came with a huge actuator bell, while ill prob buy one, size of a t25, and wondering if that will hold just fine. today i cut the rod. so my actuator rod is about 1.5 in long now, as i rethreaded it, and mounted to the compressor size, i had to somehow fit the bell in between the 2 exhaust runners. anyway, does it matter the size of the bell housing for a t3/t4 swingvalve wastegate

what the hell are you talking about? bell housing? actuator bell? Im going to assume you are talking about the actuator itself, no the size of the acutator does not matter, any internal wastegate actuator will work, as long as it is mounted properly to hold the wastegate shut under normal operation and open it when the desired boost is reached.

should be fine, more area = more force, but i doubt the pressure in the turbo manifold would be able to force open the WG.
