View Full Version : what can i throw away? (SR swap)

I'm getting ready to put my SR in and I noticed on some of your guys setups, you are missing some things. One thing i'm hearing of is something like "AIV unit" of some sort. I believe its on the driverside (US) located on top of the turbo. If this is true, is it as easy as pulling it off and tossing it? If so, is there anything else I can toss to clear up the clutter?

No need for Aiv's. You'll have to crush and weld the flange on the turbo outlet though. You can ditch the boost solenoid too. It was connected to the same bracket as the ignitor.

Or you can just find a bolt to replace that pipe. I also gave the boot to my power steering, and a/c unit.

I would still have it if my power steering system didn't leak like a sob, but now i don't even notice the difference.

I did when every big bump I hit ripped the steering wheel from my hands. Whats leaking?
